Master Yin Yun had lost sleep due to recurring nightmares, haunted by the prospect of calamities befalling him and his men. He couldn't shake off the feeling of responsibility for leading innocent souls, breadwinners for their families, into a situation that would have a devastating impact on their lives and open a wound for the members of his family. His heart trembled as he thought, "Would I really make it? Wouldn't it be better if I stumbled?" However, he braced himself, refusing to give in to cowardice. "If I die, I die a hero beside lot of lives were sacrificed to get to this length," he resolved, his determination hardening like rock.
After regaining his composure, Master Yin Yun called for the captain of the royal guard to assess the combat readiness of his troops. The captain's report was reassuring, and Master Yin Yun was delighted to hear about the progress his men had made and was reassured that victory was theirs. However, the commander's interruption caught him off guard, asking about his health. He gave a joyful expression, " My health seems to be improving, which can't be possible without your altruism. Words can't repay you, commander", with emotional tears. After the talk, he dismissed his service.
The night passed, and the dawn broke with the sun shining bright. The warriors were astonished to see Master Yin Yun sitting on a rock, meditating. They gathered around him, wondering if he was a ghost or a spirit. Some even checked his tent, only to realise that he was indeed the one sitting on the rock. The warriors were overjoyed, praising the gods for Master Yin Yun's return to them.
As Master Yin Yun stood up, he ordered the warriors to be silent. "I am glad to be back with you," he said, "but let's not forget the bigger problem we have." The atmosphere turned sombre, and the disciples muttered words within themselves that no ears could pick up, with the weight of their mission settling in. Master Yin Yun's words were laced with determination: "We have come too far to give up. Let's brace up and achieve this feat in our lifetime!"
With a fierce cry of "Charge!", the warriors were dismissed from Master Yinun's presence to prepare for the impending war.
Two days later, they marched into the forbidden forest, a realm hidden in mystery and danger. The entrance was guarded by a mighty gate, heavily guarded by a fearsome dragon bird. However, the beast was no match for Master Yin Yun, who killed it in an epic battle.
As they ventured deeper into the forest, the silence was almost palpable, punctuated only by the calls of birds. The warriors were surrounded by a weird landscape, with structures resembling human figures frozen in time like statues. The atmosphere was dark and foreboding, with an air of mystery that seemed to cling to every rock and tree.
The warriors were both fascinated and unsettled by the strange monuments, their minds racing with questions about the secrets that lay hidden within the mystical forest. Despite the ominous surroundings, they pressed on, driven by their determination to succeed.
As the soldiers ventured deeper into the mysterious dark forest, the weird sounds grew louder and more terrifying with every step. The distant howls of unknown creatures seemed to close in around them, making the skin crawl.
Master Yin Yun, a seasoned warrior and well-experienced, led the group with a steady hand. But even, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of his stomach. "Be patient, men," he warned, his voice low and urgent. "There's a trap ahead. We don't know where it is, so let's proceed with caution."
The soldiers nodded, their eyes examining the environment with a mix of fear and anticipation. Suddenly, a rabbit darted across their path, its beady eyes gleaming in the dim light. It seemed oblivious to the danger prowling around, and the soldiers watched in rapt attention as it ran towards a seemingly empty space, their anticipation grew thinking it was a devourer but there suddenly saw a rabbit hopping around, they still stood firm at their spot watching it because they knew the forest itself was mysterious, the animal frightened seeing such numerous people, it hopped swiftly in thin air, as the rabbit approached a particular spot, it suddenly slammed into an invisible barrier. Its body was sliced into gruesome pieces, its limbs and torso falling to the ground with a sickening thud. The soldiers' screams of horror echoed through the forest, their faces pale with fear.
Some of them urinated on themselves, their bodies trembling with terror. Others stood frozen in shock, unsure of what would happen next. Master Yin Yun's eyes widened in shock, his mind racing with possibilities. "We need to be careful," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of their own ragged breathing.
The soldiers stood there, paralysed with fear, as the reality of their situation sank in. They were trapped in a forest filled with unknown dangers, and they had just stumbled upon a deadly trap. Master Yin Yun knew they had to think fast if they wanted to survive. He turned to his men, his eyes locked on theirs. "We need to find a way around this trap," he said, his voice firm and resolute. "Let's move cautiously, and stay alert. We don't know what other dangers lie ahead."
With newfound determination, the soldiers nodded and began to move forward, their senses on high alert as they navigated
the treacherous forest.
