Synopsis
Arden Harl, an average office worker, is unexpectedly taken into the world of his favourite web novel. The selection of a king. No one can escape this fate. Last Earth, Earth 1, where we are normal in our ordinary lives, flying. Then the Outer Gods come in. A world where fiction and reality merged together. A place where the ‘selection’ begins. What are his survival tactics for the ‘Selection’? He finds himself in a parallel world consumed by horror, bloodshed, and deceit. What is his unfair advantage? None, except for his knowledge of the novel. Only he knows how the world will end. Thus begins the legend of Arden Harl, or The Sole King’s Prophecy, in the Multiverse! Chapter 1 - Episode 0: Preface — The Author

Hello Readers,

I want to say something to you all.

(English isn't my first language.)

This work, [The Sole King's Prophecy], is actually my first. I don't have experience in writing a novel. I'm an amateur writer, so don't expect my work to be as refined as a traditional novel. I might tell instead of showing. Info dumping instead of worldbuilding. My characters feel one-dimensional. Too much exposition. There might be dozens of writing techniques I'm unfamiliar with. This is a web novel, so I can write about a few things, including the writing techniques. There may be writers who can write better than I. I still want to write to this novel even if I make several mistakes.

[TSKP] will be my first and last work. Writing a series was on my bucket list for a while. I want to complete that dream now as I'm writing the chapters. Regarding quality, I'm doing my best to raise the bar. To me, [TSKP] is a personal novel that depicts my regrets, failures, and frustrations. Originally, I planned to write a teenage hero for this story, but then I discarded that idea. I'm too old to indulge in my juvenile fantasies.

This piece is a partial fan fiction of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. Although I use different systems and characters compared to the original source material.

I started reading light novels in college before moving on to others. I used to be a fan of those novels. I'll be writing a power fantasy novel with an overpowered protagonist. I'm not writing harem since I believe in monogamy, so I can't accept the idea of multiple women. The heroine of this novel reminds me of my consort. Speaking of, this is my first attempt at writing dark fantasy. Please forgive me if it doesn't appeal to you or if it wastes your time.

She told me to continue writing a story from the depths of my heart, no matter how inferior the quality, since finished work beats perfect, incomplete work. I want to write for her, the guiding light in my life, no matter how we might bicker.

The update schedule will be 7 chapters per week. No more or no less, this is the schedule I can maintain after work. With 1500 words in each chapter. I don't know what will happen to my family tomorrow; I only know the present, as any human would. If I die tomorrow for any unexpected reasons, then even with regrets, I wanted to leave a mark on this world, no matter how small it might be.

It is my tribute to everyone who has been on my journey, even though we are separated now due to circumstances.

She said, 'You tried at least with your level best, that's what matters.'

I smiled in joy. The burden and the fear heart fades away. Life can be short; the only thing that matters is living to the fullest in your own way. It is a blessing to share my story with you all. To read both praise and criticisms from all of you.

There may be many plot holes and questionable aspects of the plot after writing the chapters.

Remember, this novel doesn't strive to be excellent. It's about sharing my life story with as many people as possible. No matter how awful, I'm going to write about my dream.

This novel is my partial autobiography.

The dream of writing a series.

Even a flawed one will do it.

Keep on dreaming.

Keep going even if you don't see any progress.

I wish you all the best and love you guys even if you hate me or despise my work.

I'm not saying to like my work, but at least support me, then it might be better.
