The monster was shot three times. Holes formed on its head, chest and left arm. It stumbled and dropped to the ground.
(Is it dead?)
But it looked way more powerful than that.
I looked in the direction from where the bullets came. It was a building, from behind which sunlight started coming. It hit my eyes and i took my hand above them to cover them.
Above the building roof was standing the person who killed the monster, but i couldn't see the person's face because of the sunlight. Fortunately, the person jumped down from the building and landed on the ground without a scratch.
It was a young lady. She looked around my age, though i look older even after being just twenty three. She looked a lot brighter than me. She was wearing a grey overcoat on a white highneck top. Her fashion was rather too modern for a ruined world.
On top of that she had a very arrogant expression on her face. And that smile she was making looked like the smile of a wolf. She looked like a wolf to me.
"What? This wasn't the Error?" She kicked the monster's corpse and made an annoyed expression. A window appeared infront of her that made her look at me.
"Huh? This man is the Error?" She made an expression stating that she is disappointed.
"What the fuck? Since when did killing a human become a Special Quest?" She looked pissed at the window infront of her. She kicked the window and pointed at me. "And of all people it has to be an uncle?"
I raised one of my hands to pause her. "I'm still twenty three."
After hearing me spit a word out, she walked toward me. After reaching close enough she analysed my face like a robot, then pulled back and nodded. "hmm, you don't look that old from here."
"Are you here to hunt me?" I asked her.
"I was, but I don't think i would kill a fellow human." She replied with a smile, that same wolf-like smile.
Then a window appeared infront of her which she slid down toward me. I looked at the window and was a little surprised.

(Why is The Order so desperate to get me killed?)
"Special Quest? On which position does it stand among all these quests?" I asked without looking at her.
"I-its the highest." She replied. From her voice it looked like she was doing something.
After a moment i slid the window back at her, but it didnt reach her and hit the building wall and disappeared.
"Where you gone?" I asked calmly.
"Look down."
I looked down and saw her lying on her stomach. Below her was a picnic mat. In her mouth was a cookie and she was scrolling on her phone.
"..." I didnt say anything, just looked at her.
She took out another cookie and took a bite. "You want some?" She asked without her eyes leaving the screen.
(I know these types of situations. If I say I'm not hungry and i don't want it, then my stomach will betray me and make a sound.)
I sighed and extended my hand. "Then I will have on—"
"But I won't give you."
I pulled my hand back before she could notice. "How can you be eating cookies in a world which isn't yours and is filled with monsters?"
She looked up at me with a smirk and a slight pout. "You're saying that because i didn't give you one."
"It's not the case."
"It is the case."
I walked towards her, but i hit a stone and lost my balance.
"Damm!"
"Bwhahahha! What are you, a kid?" She started laughing loudly and slowly stood up.
"I don't think it's that funny." I said as i brushed dirt off my clothes. Now that she was standing, i could see the holsters hanging on her waist, inside which was the revolver that killed the monster.
"I'm Sia Zeliang, what's your name?" She told me her name while folding the picnic mat, which disappeared in her hand.
"Rayen Omiozen."
"Omio what?" She was trying hard to suppress her laughter.
"I know, but it's not my real name. Orphanage kids gave it to me, it's the name of a game character they thought looked like me." I replied before she burst into laughter.
"Oh."

There were many high rise buildings all around, maybe it was a metropolitan city before getting destroyed.
"Where are we, delhi NCR?" I asked her while looking around, but my eyes found nothing other than ruins.
"You think it's India? Well, I'm not sure if it is. This world is too different compared to our world, like those three moons at night. Even if some things are similar, it doesn't mean it applies to all places." Her reply was calmer than before. She was holding her revolver while walking ahead of me.
"Like see there." She pointed at a place just ahead of us, and it was a whole different place. There were buildings too, but they had japanese written on boards.
(Is it japan? But we are standing in India?)
I looked down and saw an uneven gap between these two places. It looked like these places were cut off from their countries and put together to make a mixed place.
My gaze turned to her. "How much do you know about this world?"
"Not much, it has only been a week since I got summoned here. I have walked nearly two hundred kilometres till now."
"How many countries have you come across?"
"Only one, India. But now i have reached japan."
[Announcement!]
[All the Dreamers who are getting this message should all gather at the given location!]

(So now we will meet other humans?)
"Hehe. I can meet other humans now. I can go along with my plan!" She jumped in excitement. Her smirk was something that could scare even a monster.
"Are you sure you are human?"
"Goddamn sure!" She gave me a thumbs up.
Grhh..
We heard a growling sound coming from somewhere close. Sia tightened her body while I was standing behind her, facing the opposite direction.
"Be ready, we are going to face one hell of a monster." Sia exclaimed. Her eyes were analysing each and every direction.
Grahh!
Suddenly the ruined building beside us got hit by something huge and fell, covering all the area in rubble and smoke. From the impact we both got thrown away and hit another building's wall.
"Ugh. What.. was that?" Sia slowly stood up, holding her back with a painful expression on her face. But even after such damage, there was no blood coming out of her body. On the other hand, I had already made a pool of blood around me that poured from my head.
"Ahh! You are bleeding!" She jumped back, looking scared like i was some sort of ghost.
"I'm fine." I said, though I was feeling dizzy.
Grhh..
As the smoke wore off, the huge monster caught our eyes. It was... a huge wolf with a horn on its forehead?
"Another wolf?" I was uninterested. Soon my head was covered in bandages, making it hard to breathe. "What is this for?"
"You're bleeding, you need treatment otherwise you will die!" The bandage from her hand disappeared soon after she put a bunch on me.
(I would die either way, from bleeding or from suffocation.)

"Are you serious?! How can we tame this beast?!" Sia was surprised by the quest, but the penalty was more absurd.
"What do you mean 'Saddening The Order'? Are you a crybaby?" Sia gripped her revolver tight and slowly moved toward the Salthas, who wasn't moving, just observing them carefully.

With a roar it lunged at Sia. Sia jumped to the side and barely managed to protect herself from the claw. The dream turned its head towards me like I was its new target.
Unlike Sia, I am powerless. I can't fight it, and even Sia barely managed to protect herself. I won't stand a chance, but there is one thing I can do.
It is my trump card...
