96: Chapter 96 Orochimaru's ResurrectionAt the same time that Pain descended and surrounded Jiraiya.

She struggled to sit up, but her body was too weak, so she could only lie helplessly on the cold, damp ground, breathing slightly.

A cold voice came from the cave entrance.
Uchiha Sasuke slowly walked in, his eyes sweeping over the disheveled Anko on the ground.
"What.what do you want to do?"
Hongdou's voice was hoarse.
Sasuke didn't answer.He walked to Anko's side, squatted down, and pressed his cold fingers directly onto the hideous Heavenly Curse Seal on the back of Anko's neck.
"Ugh—!"
As if a red-hot iron were burning her wound, Hongdou let out a painful groan, her body trembling violently.
Sasuke's chakra, like a venomous snake, forcefully invaded the core of the cursed seal!
He wasn't activating the cursed seal; instead, he was reversing and shifting the "coordinates" planted by Orochimaru himself in a more domineering and sinister way!
"Dispel the evil seal!"
The Sharingan flashed with a scarlet light.
"No.no."
Hongdou sensed a cold, slimy consciousness frantically draining her life force and soul power through the curse seal, attempting to break free from her body!
She let out a desperate sob, her body convulsing uncontrollably.
The next moment, a chilling scene unfolded.
The curse mark on the back of Red Bean's neck writhed and expanded like a living thing, and her skin was torn apart by an invisible force!
Thick, milky-white mucus mixed with blood gushed out!
Immediately afterwards, a pale, slippery hand suddenly reached out and grabbed the edge!

A head covered in slime, with wet, long black hair, and featuring signature purple eyeshadow and snake-like golden vertical pupils, slowly emerged from the back of Red Bean's neck, like a cocoon breaking free!

Orochimaru stuck out his long tongue, greedily breathing in the air of freedom, his golden snake eyes flashing with ecstasy and the light of surviving a catastrophe.
"Ah, the long-awaited air of freedom."
"Sasuke-kun, you certainly didn't disappoint me."
His entire body emerged from Hongdou's body, like a snake shedding its skin, stretching out this still somewhat weak new body reshaped by the power of the curse seal and the source of his spirit.
The red bean on the ground seemed to have all its energy drained away the moment Orochimaru left.Its eyes dimmed, its body went limp like a rag doll, and its breath was barely a whisper.Only faint undulations proved that it was still alive.
"Orochimaru, congratulations on your resurrection."
Orochimaru licked his lips, and Tree Eyes glanced at Sasuke, about to say something.
Suddenly, his golden snake eyes narrowed sharply as he keenly sensed a powerful chakra aura, far exceeding that of an ordinary ninja, rapidly approaching from afar.
".A troublesome guest has arrived, and they're here very quickly."
Orochimaru said with a sinister smile, "It seems we'll have to find another place to catch up, Sasuke-kun."
Sasuke also sensed those two familiar auras, especially the cold Uchiha chakra, which made him feel irritated.
"...Walk!"
Sasuke and Orochimaru quickly disappeared into another hidden exit of the cave.
Moments after they left, two figures drifted in like a gentle breeze.
Naruto Uzumaki, hands in his pockets, scanned the empty cave before finally settling on the red-haired woman lying on the ground, her clothes tattered and barely alive.
A strong, pungent smell of snakes still lingered in the air.
"We're a step too late."
Naruto smacked his lips, seemingly a little disappointed.
Behind him, Itachi Uchiha was looking towards the other exit deep inside the cave.
Naruto didn't think about it anymore, and his attention returned to Anko.
He took off his coat, walked over, squatted down, and draped it over Hongdou's almost naked body, covering her exposed skin and scars.
Then, with gentle movements, he picked up the unconscious Hongdou in his arms.
Hongdou let out a soft hum, seemingly sensing a touch of warmth, and unconsciously curled up in his arms.
"The person has been found; the mission is complete."
Naruto weighed the light red bean in his arms and walked out of the cave."Let's go, Itachi."
Itachi took one last look at the dark exit, then silently followed Naruto.
On the other side of the battlefield.
Jiraiya coughed up another mouthful of blood, staggered backward, and barely managed to stay upright by leaning against a broken tree stump.
Around him, the animal, human, and hungry ghost realms that he had painstakingly destroyed were now completely intact and surrounded him again.
Pain, the Deva Path, remained impeccably clean atop the treetop, observing everything.
"It's no use, Jiraiya-sensei."
The Heavenly Dao slowly spoke, "Before the power of the gods, your resistance is meaningless."
Looking at the Six Paths of Pain, who was almost at their peak, and feeling his own nearly depleted Sage Chakra and the pain all over his body, Jiraiya felt a deep sense of despair.
Am I really going to die here today?

Pain raised his hand, and a jet-black iron rod materialized in his palm, aiming at Jiraiya's heart from afar!

He let out a low growl, no longer hesitating, and suddenly turned around, hoisting the heavily injured Jiraiya onto his shoulder!
Asura's arm deformed as missiles roared towards him!
"Get out of my way!"
Kai turned around and kicked out, the high-pressure air column directly blasting the missiles apart in mid-air!
Amidst the flames of the explosion, he carried Jiraiya, transforming into a streak of blue light, pushing his speed to the limit, and fleeing for his life towards Konoha without looking back!
