Synopsis
Xu Mengmeng is known to the world as a brilliant young CEO who built her empire from nothing. Calm, sharp, and untouchable, she carries the responsibility of being the eldest daughter of the powerful Xu family. But the world doesn’t know her real identity. Behind the shadows of the city, she is whispered about with fear and respect — the Dark Queen, the mysterious ruler of the underworld. Almost no one has seen her face, yet everyone fears her name. By day, she is the obedient daughter her parents expect. By night, she is the woman who controls the most powerful underground network. Then comes Feng, the cold and intelligent heir of the Gu family. Just like Mengmeng, he is being forced into a marriage he never wanted. When the two meet, they strike a deal. A contract marriage. For one year, they will pretend to be an ordinary married couple, hiding their true wealth and power while living simple lives. After one year, they will divorce and go their separate ways. No emotions. No interference in each other’s secrets. No falling in love. But when two of the most powerful and dangerous people in the country start living under the same roof while hiding their true identities… secrets begin to collide. And the biggest question becomes: What happens when the Dark Queen marries someone just as dangerous as her?

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Marriage No One Wanted

The Xu family mansion was silent, but the tension in the dining hall was heavy.

Xu Mengmeng sat straight in her chair, her expression calm as always. At only twenty-three, she was already a successful CEO, admired by many and feared by even more.

But tonight, she wasn't sitting there as a CEO.

She was sitting there as the eldest daughter of the Xu family.

Across the table, her father placed a document in front of her.

"Tomorrow," he said firmly, "you will go on a blind date."

Mengmeng didn't even look down at the paper.

"I'm busy."

"This is not a request."

Her mother added gently but firmly,.we have found a nice guy for you . It's time you thought about marriage."

Marriage.

Mengmeng's eyes finally moved to the document, though her face showed no emotion.

If only they knew.

The woman sitting in front of them wasn't just their daughter or a CEO.

In the shadows of the city, whispered in fear and respect, she was known as the Dark Queen—the unseen ruler of the underworld.

Yet here she was… being forced into a blind date.

After a moment of silence, she simply said,

"Fine."

Across the city, in the Gu family residence, another conversation was happening.

"Absolutely not."

Feng leaned back in his chair, his expression cold.

"I don't do arranged marriages."

His father's voice was sharp.

"This isn't about what you want. The other family has already agreed. Tomorrow evening. Don't embarrass us."

Feng clicked his tongue quietly.

A blind date.

Ridiculous.

Still, after a long pause, he stood up.

"Fine," he said casually. "I'll go."

The next evening.

A quiet café in the city center.

Mengmeng arrived first. She wore simple clothes, nothing flashy, but her presence alone made people unconsciously glance at her.

A few minutes later, a tall man walked in.

Feng.

Their eyes met.

Neither smiled.

Neither looked impressed.

They sat down.

"So," Feng said calmly, "I assume you were forced to come here too."

Mengmeng nodded once.

"Yes."

Silence fell between them for a moment before Feng suddenly said,

"Let's make a deal."

Mengmeng raised an eyebrow slightly.

"A contract marriage."

"One year," Feng continued. "We get married, satisfy our families, and after one year we divorce."

Mengmeng studied him carefully.

"No interference in each other's lives."

"No unnecessary questions."

"And no emotions," Feng added.

Mengmeng leaned back slightly.

For the first time that evening, she looked interested.

"…That works."

One hour later.

Inside the Civil Affairs Bureau.

The clerk stamped the document.

"Congratulations. Your marriage is officially registered."

Just like that, Xu Mengmeng and Gu Feng became husband and wife.

But neither of them looked emotional.

To them, it was nothing more than a contract.

Outside the building, Feng spoke again.

"If we're pretending to be married, we should make it convincing."

Mengmeng crossed her arms. "Meaning?"

"We live together."

Mengmeng looked at him.

fine..

(Somehow both of them have made their minds to hide their real identity as the CEO's

also deep down both of them were unaware they were Company Rivals)

Neither of them knew the truth.

Both were secretly among the richest and most powerful people in the country.

Yet they both agreed to the same ridiculous plan.

That night, Feng brought her to a small apartment in an old building.

The place was simple.

Small living room. Tiny kitchen. One bedroom.

"This will do," Feng said.

Mengmeng looked around quietly before placing her bag on the couch.

"Not bad."

Two powerful figures who could buy the whole city.....

were now pretending to be a poor newly married couple.

And neither of them had any idea who the other really was.

The contract had just begun.

But neither Feng nor Mengmeng realized one thing—

Their fake marriage was about to become far more dangerous than either of them expected.
