I glare at the so called god that they called themselves, in front of me. Who would have thought that just because I saved a truck driver from death, I would be repayed back by being killed by the same truck a few weeks later. What kind of bad luck is that for Heaven's sake?!
The 'god' who happens to be the truck in deity form pouted. "Look, I said I was sorry. It didn't happen intentionally" "Not intentionally?! I saved your driver and this is what I get?! To be on your list of being crushed by you?!" I shout with my arms crossed. Right now, we are in a dark void.. A dark void showing that I am already dead.
Truck-kun sighs. "I know, i know. I'm very sorry and I promise to make it up to you." "How? Eh? How are you going to make it up to me? I'm already dead" "Yes.. BUT...I can give you another life. A wonderful one. It's just that..errr".
I raise an eyebrow. Why is he pausing like that....wait don't tell me.. "You will be in a different world." I knew it. Heavens above I knew it.. Who would have thought that watching so much isekai and reincarnation movies and reading books about those would let you having to experience it yourself.
I mean, the person in front of me is the very being responsible for many isekai occurrences and it looks like I'm next.
I groan, dropping my hands down. This was getting too much for me to swallow. Other people would be excited but i was lacking the strengthfor that.
"This was not in my bucket list." I had a bucket list when i was alive because I was dying of cancer and I had a list to enjoy before my time came but this guy had to cut my life short!!
"Ahem...well yes. But look at the bright side. You will be alive in a different world and you will also have a very healthy body as a bonus." He adds as if reading my thoughts.
My head snaps to him within seconds. A healthy body...? That's not a bad offer. Not bad at all.
"Okay.. I might just forgive you for killing if it means me getting a healthy body." "Of course!! But I must warn you. This world I plan to put you in is a bit....okay a lot different from your old one." I blink. "Different how?"
There was a pause.. For some reason, I was getting a bit nervous about what he was going to say next.
"How familiar are you with fantasy worlds?"
And I had every right to be nervous!!!
I look at him like he had grown a second head!! Fantasy world?!?! Good heavens no!! I have read and watched enough of fantasy novels and movies to know that they are nothing but trouble and drama!!
Not to mention they have mystical creatures, demons and beasts that can kill you without any problem!!
"Are you crazy?!?!" I shriek "A fantasy world?! Of all the worlds you plan to put me into.. you want to put me in a fantasy world....?! Oh..oh Heavens above..." I felt a headache coming in which was strange since I was already dead..
He grins "Oh but I promise. You will love this one. Yes there may be drama but there have being dramas in your former world too" "True but have you seen a drama or situation where a dragon comes out of nowhere and start causing a fire storm on cities? Or where werewolves and vampires turns the streets Into a fighting battle ground for so called dominance?"
He kept silent.. Tsk of course he would.
"Look, I enjoy reading and watching fantasy stories but I never said that I wanted to be in one. I'm the kind of person that if I see trouble, I go the other way without hesitation and you want to put me in a world that has troubles in every corner."
He just looked at me..
I groan..
I really do want to enjoy a healthy life . It has always been my dream to enjoy a healthy body. I had always been sick ever since I was little and I had always envied healthy children wherever i see them running or playing around..wishing that I too could have a good healthy life. Now I am being giving a chance. An opportunity.....but it comes with a lot of drama, troubles and chaos.
Oh let's just get over with this. I will regret it later. "Fine. I accept" "Wonderful!! Now, what is it that you wish to become in your new life?" He asks with a grin as he clicks his fingers causing a long list to appear in from of him.
I narrow my eyes. "What?" "Well since you are going to a fantasy world, what do you want to become? Elf, vampire, werewolf, faerie....." "What's wrong with me going as a human?" He blinks at me. "You want to go as a human?" "Er yeah.."
Boring....He sighs "Okay but you will be a human with powers, No arguments" He quickly adds when he senses that I was about to reject the idea. "Fine" "Good!! Now please have your pick" He states showing me another list.
It feels like I am creating my own avatar in a game or something. Oh well. I take a look through the list.. 'Something cool but not too flashly...Water..nah.. Fire..absolutely not.. light magic...tsk what am I, a saintess? Dark magic.. heck no, I'm no dark lord... Oh..this one looks interesting..' "I choose this one"
Truck-kun gasps and smiles.. "Summoning magic.. The able to summon anything you have seen before. And if you train very well you can even summon mystical creatures."
I gawk.. What!! "Wait!! I can my mi....!!"
Click!! He clicks his fingers before I could stop him!! 'NOOOO! There goes my peaceful life in the fantasy world.. sob'
"Now we are done!! Oh and one more thing.
You must be careful when you are growing up over there. I know you want no drama but drama will always find a way to get to you. So be on your toes. Okay?"
Tell me something I don't know.
"I will be fine." He smiles gently and with a wave of his hand, a soft glowing portal flashes in front of us. The feeling was warm and safe too.
"Have an amazing time in your new life my dear." I nod and was about to enter when I look at him one last time.
"And also try not to kill people by accident" I playfully jest. He rolls his eyes playfully. "Get out of here."
I chuckle and with one leap of faith.. I had gone through the portal making it to vanish behind me instantly.
Truck-kun sighs. "I still feel guilty in ending her life so suddenly." "Well it had to be done. She has suffered enough" Another voice speaks up. Truck-kun turns to see that it was the driver. "Goodness knows that she will throw a fit if she founds out that it was intentional."
Both men shivers. "Thank goodness that she will never know."
"But still, you couldn't think of another way to thank her for saving your life?"
The driver shrugs. A life for a better one.
