Jay had been in the hospital for two more days.
Her condition was improving.
She could sit up properly now.
The doctors were happy with her recovery.
But something else had become very obvious to everyone.
Keifer only listened to Jay.
No one else.
Not the doctors.
Not the nurses.
Not even their friends.
Only Jay.
One afternoon the whole gang was in Jay's room again.
Freya was eating chips.
Rakki was scrolling through her phone.
Grace was talking quietly with Ella.
Keifer was sitting beside Jay's bed.
Peeling an apple carefully.
The nurse walked in.
"Mr. Keifer, please sign these papers at the reception."
Keifer didn't even look up.
"Hmm."
But he didn't move.
The nurse waited.
Still nothing.
Ella sighed loudly.
"Keifer."
No reaction.
Freya threw a pillow at him.
"Oi."
Keifer caught it without looking.
Still peeling the apple.
Rakki groaned.
"This guy."
Grace laughed softly.
"Just tell Jay."
Freya turned dramatically toward Jay.
"Jay."
Jay looked confused.
"What?"
Freya pointed at Keifer.
"Tell him to go sign the papers."
Jay blinked.
Then she looked at Keifer.
"Keifer, go sign the papers."
Keifer immediately stood up.
"Okay."
Everyone stared at him.
Freya's mouth dropped open.
Rakki started laughing loudly.
"I told you!"
Ella shook her head in disbelief.
"This is ridiculous."
Grace giggled.
"He only listens to Jay."
Keifer came back after signing.
Sat down again.
And continued peeling the apple.
Like nothing happened.
Later Percy walked into the room.
"Keifer, can you bring coffee from the cafeteria?"
Keifer didn't respond.
Percy frowned.
"Did he not hear me?"
Freya smirked.
"Try the correct method."
Percy turned toward Jay.
"Jay…"
Jay sighed.
"What now?"
Percy pointed at Keifer.
"Tell him to bring coffee."
Jay looked at Keifer again.
"Can you bring coffee for everyone?"
Keifer immediately stood up again.
"Sure."
And walked out.
The entire room exploded with laughter.
Rakki wiped her tears.
"This is unbelievable."
Freya shook her head.
"We've discovered his weakness."
Ella grinned.
"Jay."
Grace smiled softly.
"He obeys her like a command."
Jay blushed slightly.
"Stop exaggerating."
Just then Keifer walked back in with coffee cups.
Freya leaned toward Jay and whispered loudly,
"See?"
"Your personal bodyguard."
Rakki laughed.
"No."
"Her personal servant."
Jay rolled her eyes.
But secretly…
She liked the fact that Keifer only listened to her. 💙
