Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Ignite at Night.

Darkness settled over Ignite like a second architecture.

Lights glowed from selected windows. The rest of the mansion remained in shadow, vast corridors silent beneath high ceilings and marble floors polished to reflection.

Security at Ignite was precise. Cameras monitored every angle. Guards rotated with mechanical punctuality. Nothing entered without record.

Yet that night, a black car passed through the gates without announcement.

No barrier delay.

No questioning.

No communication over radios.

The guards stepped aside automatically.

The vehicle rolled forward, headlights cutting through the long driveway before going dark beneath the portico.

A servant waiting near the entrance lowered his head immediately.

The car door opened.

Footsteps emerged — slow, measured, unhurried.

Sound carried across marble.

No greeting followed.

None was expected.

The footsteps continued down the grand hallway, echoing once… then fading into the upper levels of the mansion.

A door closed.

Softly.

Yet the silence that followed felt heavier than noise.

Staff moved more quietly. Voices dropped further. Even the air inside Ignite seemed to settle into stillness.

As if the mansion itself recognized the shift.

No announcement was made.

No presence confirmed.

Nothing was explained.

Only this remained certain:

When he returned, Ignite did not feel empty.

It felt alert.

Somewhere Inside the Mansion

A clock ticked in the distance.

Wind pressed faintly against tall windows.

And within the silent structure of Ignite, something unseen had begun moving into place.

Not sudden.

Not loud.

Inevitable.
