The Story of the Kind King

Long ago, in a peaceful and beautiful kingdom called Sundarpur, there lived a kind and wise king named King Arin. He was loved by everyone in the kingdom because he always cared for his people. King Arin believed that a ruler should serve the people like a father serves his family. Because of his kindness and fairness, the people of Sundarpur lived happily and trusted their king.

King Arin was not only powerful but also humble. Every morning he walked through the streets of the kingdom wearing simple clothes so that people would not recognize him easily. He talked to farmers, shopkeepers, and workers to understand their problems. Whenever he saw someone in trouble, he tried his best to help them.

One year, a terrible drought struck the kingdom. The rivers dried up, crops failed, and many families struggled to find food. The people became worried and afraid. When King Arin learned about their suffering, he immediately called a meeting with his ministers.

Some ministers suggested collecting more taxes to save money for the palace. But King Arin strongly disagreed. Instead, he opened the royal treasury and used the money to buy food for the people. He ordered that grain from the royal storehouses be distributed to every village. He also arranged for wells to be dug and water to be brought from nearby rivers.

The king himself traveled across the kingdom to see how the people were doing. In one small village, he met an old farmer who had lost all his crops. The farmer looked sad and tired. King Arin sat beside him and listened to his story.

"Do not worry," the king said kindly. "Your king will not let you suffer alone." The next day, seeds, tools, and food were sent to the farmer and his village.

Slowly, with the king's help and the hard work of the people, the kingdom began to recover. Rain finally returned, crops started growing again, and the land became green and fertile.

The people of Sundarpur were grateful to their king. They realized that their ruler truly cared for them, not just as subjects but as family. Because of King Arin's kindness and wisdom, the kingdom became stronger than before.

King Arin ruled for many years, always listening to his people and helping those in need. Even after many generations, people still told stories about the kind king who placed the happiness of his people above everything else.

Moral: A true leader is one who serves and cares for others with kindness and fairness
