The Dream
The morning sun had not yet fully risen when Silon suddenly woke up.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
His phone alarm rang loudly beside his bed.
Silon groaned and slowly turned it off.
Silon: "Ah... morning already?"
He sat up and rubbed his eyes, trying to remember the dream he had just a moment ago.
It felt so real.
In his dream, he was standing in front of someone very important to him.
His childhood friend.
Seyona.
In the dream, the sky was warm and bright. The wind was gently blowing through the school backyard.
Silon stood nervously in front of Seyona.
His heart was beating faster than usual.
He finally spoke.
Silon: "Seyona... I need to tell you something."
Seyona tilted her head slightly.
Seyona: "What is it, Silon?"
Silon took a deep breath and gathered all his courage.
Silon: "I've liked you for a long time."
For a moment, everything became quiet.
Seyona opened her mouth to say something.
But before she could answer-

Reality
Silon sighed.
Silon: "Just a dream..."
He looked at the ceiling for a moment.
His heart was still beating fast.
He slowly got out of bed and started getting ready for school.
Seyona had been his friend since childhood. They grew up together and even walked to school together almost every day.
But recently, Silon started feeling something different.
Something more than friendship.
While brushing his teeth, he kept thinking about the dream.
Silon (thinking): "Should I really confess to her?"
His face turned slightly red.
Silon (thinking): "No... that would be too sudden."
Just then, someone called from outside.
Seyona: "Silon! Hurry up! We're going to be late!"
Silon froze for a second.
He quickly grabbed his bag and ran outside.
Seyona was standing near the gate, looking slightly annoyed.
Seyona: "You're slow as always."
Silon scratched his head awkwardly.
Silon: "Sorry... I overslept."
They began walking toward school together.
Just like they had done for many years.
But today felt different for Silon.
He kept secretly looking at Seyona while they walked.
Her long hair moved gently in the wind.
She looked the same as always.
Yet Silon's heart wouldn't calm down.
Silon (thinking): "Maybe... today I should finally tell her."
The Decision
School passed slowly for Silon.
He couldn't focus on the lessons at all.
His mind was full of one thought.
Confession.
During lunch break, Silon finally made a decision.
He walked up to Seyona.
Silon: "Hey... can you meet me in the backyard after school?"
Seyona looked confused.
Seyona: "The backyard? Why?"
Silon hesitated.
Silon: "I just... need to talk about something important."
Seyona shrugged.
Seyona: "Okay."
The Confession
After school ended, Silon waited in the quiet backyard.
The wind gently moved the leaves of the trees.
His hands felt cold and sweaty.
Soon, Seyona arrived.
Seyona: "So... what did you want to talk about?"
Silon looked at the ground for a moment.
Then he lifted his head.
His heart was pounding loudly.
Silon: "Seyona... there's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time."
Seyona blinked.
Seyona: "What is it?"
Silon took a deep breath.
Silon: "I like you."
Silence filled the air.
For a moment, Seyona said nothing.
Then she slowly shook her head.
Seyona: "I'm sorry, Silon."
Silon felt his chest tighten.
Silon: "Why...?"
Seyona looked away slightly.
Seyona: "Because... we've always been childhood friends."
Her answer felt like a sharp pain in Silon's heart.
The dream he had that morning was nothing like reality.
Silon forced a small smile.
