Glad turned 180.
The community celebrated for a week.
"It's not every day a Manananggal reaches 180," Maya joked at the main event. "Actually, it is. They live forever. But still—celebrate!"
Glad addressed the crowd from the community center stage.
"One hundred eighty years. Most of them hiding. The last twelve—" She paused, emotional. "The last twelve have been everything. You've been everything."
Cheers.
"I used to think my story was about a viral video. About getting caught. But it's not. It's about what happens when you stop hiding. When you choose connection over fear. When you let people in."
She looked at Ariel, at Lilith, at Maya, at the Watcher.
"I have a family. A real family. After 180 years, I finally have a family."
Tears. Hugs. Celebration.
The party lasted until dawn.
And somewhere, a cat who'd started it all purred.
