Chapter 1 - The Same Playlist

Late at night, when the city was quiet and the world felt distant, Aarav sat by his window with his headphones on. Music had always been his escape. Whenever life felt overwhelming, he opened his favorite music app and lost himself in melodies.

One evening, while creating a new playlist called "Midnight Feelings," he noticed something unusual. The app showed that another user had added songs to the same collaborative playlist. The username was simple: "Starlight_23."

Aarav frowned in confusion. He didn't remember sharing the playlist with anyone.

Curious, he opened it. The playlist had grown from ten songs to almost twenty. But what surprised him was the choice of songs. They matched his mood perfectly-soft indie tracks, nostalgic piano music, and late-night acoustic songs.

It felt like someone inside his mind had chosen them.

At the bottom of the playlist description, a short message appeared: "If you're listening to this at night, I hope the music makes you feel less alone."

Aarav smiled without realizing it. For the first time in a long while, midnight felt a little warmer.

The next night, Aarav opened the playlist again. Another song had been added. He decided to leave a message in the description.

"Whoever you are, you have amazing taste in music."

The following evening, a reply appeared.

"Thank you, mysterious stranger. I was thinking the same about you."

Aarav chuckled softly.

From that night onward, the playlist slowly became their secret conversation.

Instead of texting or calling, they spoke through music. When Aarav felt hopeful, he added cheerful songs. When Starlight_23 felt sad, she added slow emotional melodies. Sometimes they left short notes.

Bad day today."

"This song helped me during tough times."

"Listen to this when you can't sleep."

Days turned into weeks. They still didn't know each other's real names, faces, or cities. But they knew each other's moods.

They understood each other through rhythm, lyrics, and silence between songs. Strangely, it felt more honest than most conversations Aarav had in real life.

One rainy evening, Aarav noticed something different. No new songs had been added for three days. The playlist felt unusually quiet. He kept refreshing the page, hoping to see the familiar username appear again. Finally, after two long days, a new message showed

up. "Sorry I disappeared. Life got complicated." Aarav immediately added a song-one that always comforted him.

Below it, he wrote: "Glad you're back."

After a few minutes, another message appeared.

"It's strange. We don't know each other at all, but this playlist feels like home." Aarav stared at the screen for a moment. Then he typed slowly: "Maybe because music is the most honest language." That night they added more songs than ever before. Happy songs. Nostalgic songs. Songs about meeting someone unexpectedly. Somewhere between the melodies and lyrics, a quiet feeling had begun to grow. Neither of them said it. But both of them felt it.

Months passed. Their playlist had grown to over 200 songs. It had become a timeline of emotions-loneliness, laughter, hope, and comfort. One night, Starlight_23 added a message that made Aarav pause.

"Do you ever wonder who I am?"

Aarav thought for a moment before replying.

"Sometimes."

"But I'm also scared that knowing might ruin this." There was a long silence. Then her reply appeared.

"Same." For a moment, both of them simply added songs. One about destiny. One about timing. One about love appearing in unexpected places. Finally, she left another message.

"What if we never meet?"

Aarav typed slowly.

"Then at least somewhere in the world, two strangers shared the same music."

A few seconds later, she added one final song.

It was titled "Until We Meet."

A year later, the playlist still existed.

It had over 500 songs now.

Aarav never learned who Starlight_23 really was.

Sometimes she disappeared for weeks. Sometimes she added five songs in one night.

But every time Aarav opened the playlist, he felt the same quiet connection.

Two strangers.

No photos.

No phone numbers.

No real names.

Just music.

And somehow, through hundreds of songs, late nights, and silent conversations…

They had written a love story that no one else could see.

A love story hidden between melodies.

And maybe somewhere out there, under the same night sky, Starlight_23 was listening to the same song at the exact same moment.

Smiling.

Just like him. 🎵✨️
