Nata's Pov
After their whole conversation, which they never knew I overheard, I was brought to this damn cell, it was far away from the pack. We had traveled miles to get here, the whole journey was saved by Brandon's Benz.
I raised my head to look at the ceiling, the holes in it could just turn this whole cell room into a pool if there was rain. I could just crouch at the corner of these four walls. The girls sitting on the white chair just kept staring at me.
" How did you get here?" She asked z her voice low.
There were three girls in the room, and I thought she might have asked anyone, so I didn't say anything. I just kept quiet, staring at her. She looked battered, like she was beaten.
" I'm asking you," she said, her voice low.
," Oh okay," I said, letting out a deep sigh. " It actually started from the night I was attacked, it still remains a mystery today as I never knew who was behind it, and their voice was familiar." I said,
I kept quiet, images of how Brandon had punched me kept playing at the back of my head, it was a shameful thing. I was rejected twice, the first was the moment he attacked me, I knew it was his first rejection. And when his father forced him? That was the second and the main one. He had never planned on accepting his mate.
"We are listening." She said
I opened my mouth to continue when a loud bang echoed through the room. It was followed by Lady's thick voice. " Sales time girls, get to the front line, move yourself before you are moved." She said, her voice low.
As the lady said that, the girls in front of me jumped to their feet. I watched as they scrambled out of the cell room. Almost immediately, I did the same. It was my chance of freedom, and I could not miss it....
The night was cold, the wind played across my skin allowing the chill to sink into my flesh. I inhaled sharply, as I stared at the figure up ahead. There were many vampires here, they had to taste the human blood, and as long as they liked it, they would buyーthat was what we were told before we got to the front line.
I turned to look around me, staring at the environment. Damn, this place is huge. Although we were outside the building, locked up in shackles. The whole building had this enriched aura that no other buildings have.
" I think I'd take her, bro" the loud voice caught my attention, and my head snapped towards them.
They were standing right in front of the lady that was asking me questions about how I got to this place. It was beautiful on the outside, but on the inside it was more like a boredom. My mind raced with multiple thoughts, what would I do if someone chose me? Will I meet my end? I asked.
The guy in front of the lady was handsome, his chest broad, his blue eyes were sharp as the moon. The man behind him? Yeah, he was more handsome and he has a muscular physique. His sharp piercing red eyes like that of the blood moon.
" Check her out." The red eyed guy said.
Almost immediately, the guy leaned forward, and he placed his head right on her neck line. Before she could say she should move, she was bitten and immediately she fell, convulsing. I could just stare at her from here, I watched how her life was washed there and then.
Tears welled up in my eyes, I could just watch. as she was sucked to death. Woah, was this how I would die as well? Killed because she flinched. Didn't they know it hurts?
As time went on, the siblings checked out all the females before me. And now, it was my turn. My turn to be checked out, my turn to know maybe I'd die or I'd be alive.or worse, I will be kept as their sex slave
I stood there, my chin straight. I quickly packed my silver hair. I couldn't let myself be killed because of it. Not now, not ever.
" She looks nice." The brother said.
" I'd take her." The other guy with red eyes didn't waste time to let him think about it.
Almost at that moment, he moved closer and closer,he tilted his head slightly. As he canine protruded, he sank them into my skin.
As soon as it drowned into my skin, I felt a sharp pain jolt through my veins. And at that moment, a strong energy bursted through my veins. I kicked him away, landing a tight slap across his face.
" You bitch!" The brother yelled, and as he was about to slap me back the whole place froze.
I could see the whole thing moving in slow motion. And for that single minute, I realized my mistake. I shouldn't have slapped him. To assume if there wasn't a time pause, I won't realize what I just have.
There were many blades right in the air that were aimed towards me. And behind me there was a male ready to land a swift punch. And as soon as I turned my head to the red eyed guy I just slapped, I realized the time pause was his doing. Everything else froze, but I was moving. The damp smell was gone, it was quickly replaced with the smell of blood.
In the next second, he jerked me away from where I stood. Leaving me speechless... And at that moment, the time pause was gone. And all attackers missed me. Unknown to them, that one second has already been saved by the red eyed guy.
" Always recognize your enemy before acting big," the guy's voice was cold.
And that was when I had a proper view of how handsome he is, that straight jawline, his dark temples. Those piercing red eyes that caught the shadows. And at that moment, a thought played in my mind.
He had just shown me not to mess with him and how death will come in all angles in a matter of seconds. The one second that would have taken me to the moon goddess.
His red eyes reminded me about a lot of things, especially the forest.... Who was the red eye the men were talking about? Was he the same red eyed guy?
