[Start of the chapter]

The autumn wind was bleak, the bright moon hanging high.

The entire Land of Fire was drowned in the stillness of night.

Konoha blazed with ten thousand lights, and even the Hokage Rock was lit up, shining brilliantly.

At this moment, in the Uchiha Clan's residential district—before the Clan Head's estate—

a short boy stood there. He looked only around his early teens, standing quietly without moving.

Behind him, two people were half-kneeling.

Judging by their uniforms, they belonged to Konoha's Police Force.

After a moment of silence, the boy—Uchiha Sayoha—spoke coldly:

"How many are willing to leave?"

"Five hundred and ten. About half the clan."

One of the men behind him answered at once.

"More than half, huh? Looks like the clan has really gotten sick of this place called Konoha."

"Sayoha-sama, all preparations for the evacuation are complete…"

Sayoha nodded. "Good. Then begin."

"Watch for my signal. The moment the timing is right, organize everyone to withdraw fast. No delays allowed."

"Understood!"

"And bring that girl Izumi and her family with you, too."

A flash of surprise passed through the eyes of the two behind him, but they immediately accepted the order with firm resolve.

"Yes!"

"Go."

Sayoha waved a hand. The two vanished at once.

Only he remained, tilting his head slightly upward.

He glanced back at the enormous Konoha behind him and murmured with a soft sigh:

"Before I knew it… I've been in this world for ten full years."

"Human prejudice—no matter the world—always feels like a mountain you can't climb over."

"Konoha? Hmph… if you still can't tolerate the Uchiha Clan, then don't blame me for being ruthless."

"Tonight, I'm rewriting this history."

After that, Sayoha withdrew his gaze.

He stepped forward, pushed open the main gate of the Clan Head's estate, and walked inside.

Inside the estate.

The front courtyard was empty—no one else was there.

The person Sayoha came to meet was already standing on the steps of the main hall, as if waiting for him.

Uchiha Fugaku: the current Clan Head of the Uchiha Clan, and also the captain of Konoha's Police Force.

"You're here."

Uchiha Fugaku opened his eyes. His gaze was sharp as he looked straight at Sayoha.

"So the Clan Head already knows what I'm planning to do?"

Uchiha Sayoha smiled faintly, as if it were exactly what he expected.

As the Uchiha Clan Head, holding Konoha's police power in his hands, Fugaku possessed extraordinary authority.

For someone like him, seeing through Sayoha's activities inside the clan—forming groups, plotting an escape—wasn't difficult at all.

But just as Sayoha had anticipated…

Even though Fugaku knew Sayoha's every move,

he didn't stop him, and he didn't report him.

On the contrary—he had secretly helped cover up more than a few holes.

Otherwise, the escape plan would have been noticed by Konoha's upper ranks long ago.

"Your plan is far too simple and brute-force."

"I can't just stand by and watch you drag more than half the Uchiha Clan into destruction."

Fugaku stared at Sayoha, speaking each word slowly and heavily.

"I have to stop you."

Sayoha's mouth curled upward, and he laughed in disdain.

"And if you keep doing nothing, can the Uchiha Clan survive?"

"Right now, we can't fight all of Konoha. We need to wait for the right moment…"

Fugaku snapped back, a trace of struggle flashing in his eyes.

No one understood better than him the vast gap between a single clan and the entirety of Konoha.

A reckless defection like this—even if it somehow succeeded—

would ultimately be wiped out under Konoha's merciless pursuit afterward.

Only with careful planning and a surprise victory might they find a thread of survival.

That was why he had arranged for Itachi to join the ANBU, to serve as an undercover agent—

gathering intelligence, waiting for timing, seeking change.

"Can't fight now, so you'll be able to later?"

"Or are you saying your plan is to bet everything on Itachi alone inside the ANBU?"

"Maybe you still don't know?"

"Your son Uchiha Itachi should have already received an order from Root, and he's on his way here."

"And his mission is: wipe out the entire Uchiha Clan—so he can spare his younger brother Sasuke's life."

"Do you think that's fair?"

"Trading hundreds of lives for one life—do you really think it's worth it?"

"Just because of Itachi and his little brother, are we supposed to sit still and wait to be slaughtered?"

Sayoha's voice rose as he questioned him—bare, brutal questions thrown straight into Fugaku's face.

At those words, Fugaku's body jolted hard.

Shock—at Itachi's choice.

And anger—at Konoha's upper ranks, so cold-blooded they could issue such a cruel, insane order.

The air fell silent for a time.

The gentle Uchiha Mikoto appeared at Fugaku's side at some point, wrapping her arms around her husband's shoulders, sharing the weight of his pressure.

"Haa…"

"If this is Itachi's decision… then I choose to support him."

Fugaku let out a deep sigh, grasped his wife's hand, and spoke firmly.

No one understood Itachi's talent better than he did.

In Fugaku's eyes, if Itachi made such a decision,

then it must have been the best choice forged after agonizing struggle.

Even if it was only for young Sasuke's sake—

as a father, he could only yield. He could only support Itachi.

"Clan Head, I didn't come here to ask your opinion."

"Whether you agree or not, you can't stop what's coming."

"I am Uchiha Sayoha—an Uchiha! I am not a lamb to be butchered! I will not surrender with my hands tied!"

"If you insist on blocking me, then I'll deal with you first!"

Sayoha roared.

Chakra surged out of his body, and he launched an attack in an instant.

On Fugaku's side, his brows tightened—he struck out just as fast.

He wanted to see for himself.

Just how capable this young nephew really was—how close he could come to Itachi—

to be able to rally so many clan members, to plot an escape,

and to dare raise his hand against him.

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu)!"

Two enormous fireballs—like buildings—burst forth and collided head-on.

"BOOM—!"

The violent explosion shook the world. Flames scattered in every direction, and dazzling light lit up half of Konoha.

In an instant, the fierce battle

shocked half the village, drawing countless ANBU and high-ranking officials rushing over at top speed.

At the very center of the clash, Fugaku was secretly stunned, clicking his tongue in disbelief.

He never imagined that Sayoha's Fireball Jutsu would be this terrifying.

It was not inferior to his own.

Fugaku was already forty.

Whether ninjutsu, chakra reserves, or combat experience—he surpassed most of Konoha's ninja by far.

And yet the boy in front of him—barely in his teens—could already use Fireball Jutsu with such mastery.

How massive did his chakra reserves have to be?

How deep was his understanding and application of ninjutsu?

Just how extraordinary was this child?!

And all this time, he had remained unknown—hiding his strength until now.

What a deep mind.

What a long-reaching scheme.

But even while marveling, Fugaku didn't hold back.

He was a Clan Head who had survived two Great Ninja Wars—his strength was naturally no small thing.

"Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu (Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique)!"

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu)!"

"Katon: Hōsenka Tsumabeni (Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire: Claw Crimson)!"

And more…

Fire Style techniques poured out as if at will—endless, layered, sweeping down on Sayoha like a storm.

Those brilliant flames practically covered half the Uchiha district.

Just looking at them made your scalp go numb…

But on Sayoha's side, there were no flashy tricks.

Only one thing—Fireball after Fireball after Fireball.

Big enough.

Fierce enough.

Fast enough.

One gigantic fireball after another collided head-on with Fugaku's varied Fire Style techniques, extinguishing them one by one.

If this had been somewhere else—another battlefield—

the sheer variety and differing effects of those techniques might have produced miracles.

But when two Fire Style masters fought head-on,

Sayoha proved with action that as long as one technique had enough power, it could "break ten thousand techniques with one force"!

Just like the Uchiha ancestor… Uchiha Madara…
