Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: Awake and Confused

In a simple two-story house located in one of London's suburbs, a brown-haired boy slept soundly, completely unaware and stretched out like a starfish.

"Sebastian! Get up, breakfast is ready," shouted a woman from downstairs, apparently his mother. She also has brown hair, which he probably inherited from her.

"Hmm, why all the noise? Don't they know that in a free country you can wake up whenever you want?" The boy woke up reluctantly, claiming his rights to justify his laziness.

As he rubbed his eyes to clear away the sleep and grime, he noticed a small detail. At that moment, he remembered that a while ago (possibly hours) he had woken up in an unfamiliar place, confused by the idea that he was dreaming, and went back to sleep, because the only logical option he could think of was that he was dreaming.

Who would think otherwise? He was in a nice room with cream-colored walls, a simple table with books, a closet much bigger than his own, which he liked, and a bed decorated with pandas. This made him shake his head because it didn't seem very cool to him, since his own bed was decorated with images of the legendary boy with 10 aliens on his watch. But what can he say? Not everyone understands the fucking vibe.

Then he looked out the window, and what he saw left him bewildered. A cloudy sky, many houses stuck together. That confirmed two things: he was in another country, and here they made the most of the space. He also began to see people passing by. He wouldn't say they were dressed elegantly, but compared to the people he used to see, they were more modest.

After all, he saw women wearing skirts, which was brilliant. He couldn't help but think that they looked good despite being an outdated style. I mean, he may not have the best memory in the world, but he recognized that this was a style that was used before, and having become accustomed to the short shorts and different styles of pants that appeared every year, it was refreshing. Although he would fondly remember the sexy girls he saw on the streets in their daring outfits.

He was straying from his main thought, so he returned to the previous one. He was in a country he didn't know, people wore clothes from a bygone era (he didn't recognize which one), he was in a child's room, if the toys piled up in the corner of the room didn't justify it, and since he wasn't tied up or blindfolded, he hadn't been kidnapped. And the final evidence, his small hands, if that didn't prove that his body had shrunk, nothing would.

Although he already knew the obvious, he still wanted to see himself, so he looked for a mirror and prayed to God, asking that he not be ugly, nor have lost his beautiful smile that made girls swoon.

He found a mirror easily; there was one on the small table. What he saw left him stunned. Although he had already accepted that he had shrunk, seeing the child in the reflection still surprised him, but he liked it. Beautiful brown hair, a tender smile, and OH MY GOD, THE EYES! They were cat-like, or rather honey-colored with green, he didn't know how to describe them, but he would no longer have to envy his friend Angela from the past, who had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.

As he looked at himself and basked in his own glory, boosting his ego in the process, he heard the door open and a thunderous but feminine voice reached his ears.

"SEBASTIAN FLONDER WRIGHT, WHY HAVEN'T YOU COME DOWN FOR BREAKFAST YET?" The woman who appeared was a pleasant woman with brown hair and brown eyes who was taller than him, although the term "pleasant" could not be mixed with the scene in front of him. The woman had a look that could melt fire, and he was the victim, which left him paralyzed.

But his paralysis only baffled the woman, who changed from her demonic form to a gentler one and asked her son delicately.

"Honey, are you okay? Did something happen? Why haven't you come down to eat yet?" The questions, now with a touch of sweetness and concern, awakened the boy, who, now very confused, blurted out the first thing that came to mind.

"Who are you?" The question baffled the woman.

"Sebas, it's me, your mom. Don't play these jokes, you know they're in very bad taste," replied the woman, now with concern and a touch of amusement at the thought that her son was playing such a joke on her. If it were against her husband, she would gladly do so.

"No, really, I don't know you and I've never seen you before." The boy still did not understand the gravity of the situation. After all, he had only woken up a few moments ago, and he was still analyzing his surroundings, the people passing by, recognizing their period clothing, and the fact that he had become a child, but without understanding what all that meant for his new life because the woman had frightened him with her scream.

Another fact that made his situation worse was his name. He was also called Sebastian before arriving wherever he had appeared. So when the woman shouted his name, he automatically responded as 19-year-old Sebastian, a geeky otaku university engineering student who never left his room and only knew his classmates and a few friends from other faculties.

"..." The seriousness with which her son responded was the last thing she needed to panic. Countless thoughts began to race through her mind. Was he sick? Was he being threatened? Was this an elaborate joke by her husband and son to get back at her for laughing at their joint project? Thoughts raced at the speed of light, conjuring up multiple scenarios that rivaled the stone of time. All this happened in just a fraction of a second.

"It's okay, Sebas, stop joking around. I apologize to you and to your father, for laughing at you. I won't do it again, just go back to normal, I've learned my lesson, don't scare me." This time, the mother was filled with guilt, worry, and fear.

"Well, although your apologies confuse me, I'll accept them, because one always forgives. But even so, I still don't know who you are." The boy might have been perceptive, observant, and intelligent, but he was still a man, and in a truly disconcerting situation, he continued to respond automatically, although for some reason his sense of rhetoric and humor remained intact.

This was what broke down the woman's barriers, and she began to use one of the only ways the human body can release strong emotions: she began to cry and, as a last resort, called the only person she could trust to help her deal with this situation.

"ROBERT!" The cry mixed with sobs echoed through the house, reaching the ears of the man named Robert, a tall man with dark hair and truly beautiful honey-green eyes. With this, it is clear where Sebastian inherited the eyes that made him fall in love with himself. The family man was at the table eating while reading the newspaper quietly. The cry alarmed him, and leaving everything on the table, he ran to the stairs to go up to the second floor where he heard his wife's cry.

Returning to the room of Sebastián, the boy of the moment, who was also frightened by the woman's scream. She immediately hugged him and began to sob with him in her arms.

With the situation escalating to unknown levels, his neurons were activated and now ran at incredible speeds, although not as fast as the woman's moments ago, but fast enough to think about what was happening. He woke up in an unknown place without being tied up, ruling out kidnapping. The people wearing old clothes, along with the fact that he had shrunk, led him to the conclusion that he had traveled through time or, even more incredibly, transmigrated.

The latter seemed more feasible since, according to the descriptions he had read in his former life, with time travel he would still have his body, perhaps. With reincarnation, he would be a baby, and finally, transmigration is when the body travels to another world, either with its own body or occupying one that died or one without a soul. The truth is that the description differs depending on the person and the plots of the fanfics he read.

Although the boy wanted to remain stunned by the supernatural event, he couldn't because his current situation turned into a heartbroken woman because her son didn't recognize her. Yes, with his neurons firing at a thousand miles an hour, he recognized the woman as the mother of the body he occupied, and since he hadn't discovered this before, he responded very strangely to the woman he now recognized as his mother, turning her into a tearful mess.

Now, not knowing how to fix it, he decides to continue what he started, pretending to have amnesia. He would continue with his personality, and although it occurred to him to act like a child, after thinking about it, it seemed a little bland, because he might get tired of acting and might show gaps that would raise suspicion. So that was the plan he came up with. Maybe acting like he wasn't aware of some things. Praying to God to present him with a way to explain it...

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" His thoughts were interrupted by the shout of a male figure who appeared, probably due to his mother's scream. But the arrival of the man raised a small question for him. Were his thoughts passing so quickly, or was the man slower than his thoughts?
