Chapter 2 - The Mysterious Boy

The next morning, the college campus was full of noise and excitement. Students were walking through the hallways, laughing and talking with their friends.

For most people, it was just another normal day.

But for Riya, something felt slightly different.

As she walked toward her classroom, she couldn't stop thinking about what had happened the previous afternoon.

The moment when Aryan had caught her before she fell kept replaying in her mind.

Riya shook her head slightly.

"Why am I thinking about that again?" she whispered to herself.

She quietly entered the classroom and sat in her usual seat near the window.

The cool morning breeze entered through the window, gently moving the curtains.

A few minutes later, the classroom suddenly became louder.

Many students were whispering excitedly.

Riya looked up.

Aryan had just entered the classroom.

Just like always, he looked calm and confident.

Several students greeted him.

Aryan smiled politely and talked with them for a few moments before taking his seat.

For a second, his eyes moved around the classroom.

And then they stopped on Riya.

Riya quickly looked away, pretending to read her notebook.

Her heart suddenly started beating faster.

"Why is he looking at me?" she wondered.

The professor soon entered the classroom, and the lecture began.

Riya tried to focus on her notes, but she couldn't ignore the strange feeling in her chest.

After the lecture ended, students started leaving the classroom.

Riya slowly packed her books.

As she stood up, she suddenly heard a voice behind her.

"Hey."

Riya turned around.

It was Aryan.

For a moment, she didn't know what to say.

Aryan gave a small smile.

"You didn't fall again today, right?"

Riya blinked in surprise.

Then she realized he was joking about yesterday.

She couldn't help but laugh a little.

"No."

Aryan seemed happy to see her smile.

"I'm glad," he said.

There was a short silence between them.

Then Aryan pointed toward the library.

"Do you go there often?"

Riya nodded.

"Yes."

"I thought so," Aryan said.

"I've seen you there a few times."

Riya felt surprised again.

"You noticed?"

Aryan shrugged.

"I notice many things."

For some reason, that answer made Riya feel slightly nervous.

Aryan then said, "Maybe I'll see you there later."

Before Riya could reply, Aryan waved and walked away.

Riya stood there quietly for a moment.

She didn't understand why, but talking to Aryan felt both comfortable and confusing at the same time.

As she walked toward the library later that day, she couldn't help wondering something.

Was Aryan really interested in becoming her friend?

Or was there something else behind his mysterious behavior?

Riya had no idea that their story was only beginning.

And very soon, things were going to become much more complicated.
