Chapter 1 - Hello

dark-romance style web novel opening in English for you. 🖤🌙

Title: Bound by ShadowsThe rain fell like shattered glass against the windows of Blackthorne Manor.

Aria Vale stood at the iron gates, her fingers trembling slightly as she gripped the cold metal. Everyone in the town had warned her about this place. About the man who lived here.

Lucien Blackthorne.

They said he was dangerous.

They said people who crossed him disappeared.

They said his heart was colder than the storm clouds above.

But Aria had no choice.

Her brother's life depended on the deal she was about to make.

The gates creaked open slowly—as if the manor itself had been expecting her.

Inside, the estate looked like something out of a forgotten nightmare. Tall black trees surrounded the mansion, their branches twisting like claws. The house stood silent and massive, its dark windows watching her every step.

Aria forced herself forward.

The heavy doors opened before she could knock.

A tall figure stood in the dim light of the hallway.

Lucien Blackthorne.

He was even more terrifying than the rumors—tall, dressed in black, sharp features half-hidden by shadow. His dark eyes studied her like she was a puzzle he had already solved.

"You came," he said quietly.

His voice was calm… too calm.

Aria swallowed. "You said you would help my brother."

Lucien stepped closer.

Slowly.

Dangerously.

"Yes," he said. "But help always has a price."

Her heart pounded. "What do you want?"

For a moment, silence filled the hallway. Thunder echoed outside.

Lucien lifted his hand and gently tilted her chin up so she had no choice but to look into his eyes.

"I want you," he whispered.

Aria's breath caught.

"Not for a night," he continued softly, a dark smile forming.

"Not for a week."

His voice dropped to a dangerous murmur.

"I want you until I decide to let you go."

Lightning flashed across the sky.

And in that moment, Aria realized something terrifying.

She had just walked into a cage.

And the monster holding the key was already starting to fall in love with her. 🖤

Chapter 1: The Devil's OfferThe storm had started an hour ago.

Heavy rain poured over the quiet town as Aria Vale stood in front of the tall iron gates of Blackthorne Manor. Her coat was already soaked, but she didn't move.

Everyone in town feared this place.

And the man who lived inside it.

Lucien Blackthorne.

People whispered his name like it was a curse. They said he was cruel, powerful, and completely heartless.

Aria took a deep breath.

I have no choice.

Her younger brother was lying in a hospital bed, and the doctors needed money she didn't have.

But Lucien Blackthorne did.

Slowly, the gates creaked open on their own.

Aria's heart began to pound.

The long path toward the mansion felt endless. Dark trees surrounded the road, their branches moving violently in the wind.

Finally, she reached the massive wooden doors.

Before she could knock, they opened.

A tall man stood inside the dim hallway.

Lucien.

He was taller than she expected, dressed completely in black. His sharp jawline and cold dark eyes made him look almost unreal.

Dangerous.

His gaze slowly moved over her wet clothes.

"You're late," he said calmly.

Aria frowned slightly. "You asked me to come tonight."

"Yes." His voice was quiet but commanding. "And you came anyway."

Thunder roared outside.

Aria stepped inside the mansion. The door closed behind her with a heavy sound.

"Let's not waste time," she said nervously. "You said you would help my brother."

Lucien walked toward her slowly.

Each step felt deliberate.

"Help," he repeated, as if tasting the word.

He stopped right in front of her.

"Everything has a price, Miss Vale."

Aria forced herself to stay calm. "Tell me the price."

For a moment, Lucien said nothing.

Then he lifted his hand and gently grabbed her chin, forcing her to look up at him.

His touch was surprisingly warm.

"I want a contract," he said softly.

"What kind of contract?"

Lucien's lips curved slightly.

"You will live in this house."

Aria blinked in confusion.

"For one year," he continued. "You belong to me during that time."

Her eyes widened.

"What?"

"In return," Lucien said calmly, "your brother's treatment will be fully paid."

The storm outside grew louder.

Aria's mind raced.

This man was dangerous. Everyone knew that.

But her brother was dying.

Lucien leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"So tell me, Aria…"

His dark eyes locked onto hers.

"How much is your freedom worth?"
