Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Awakening in a Weak Body

Morning light slowly crept through the thin curtains of the small room.

Lin Tian sat quietly on the edge of the bed, staring at his hands.

They were thin.

Pale.

Weak.

He slowly clenched his fist.

The movement felt strange.

Heavy.

Slow.

A faint frown appeared on his face.

"This body…" he muttered softly.

"It's too weak."

In his previous life, Lin Tian had been a powerful cultivator whose strength could shatter mountains and destroy warships with a single strike. His body had been refined through countless battles and years of cultivation.

But now?

He felt like an ordinary human.

Perhaps even weaker than an ordinary human.

He stood up slowly and stretched his arms.

A dull soreness spread through his muscles.

His body clearly lacked training.

Lin Tian walked toward the mirror hanging on the wall.

The reflection showed a young man around eighteen or nineteen years old. His hair was slightly messy, and his face looked tired, as if he had not slept properly for days.

But his eyes…

His eyes were different.

Deep.

Sharp.

Filled with experience far beyond his age.

Lin Tian stared at the reflection quietly.

Memories that did not belong to him began surfacing in his mind.

They belonged to the original owner of this body.

The young man's name was also Lin Tian.

A college student living in a small apartment in the city.

His life had been ordinary.

Classes during the day.

Part-time work in the evening.

Simple meals.

Simple dreams.

Nothing like the cosmic wars and star battles of Lin Tian's previous life.

Last night, the original Lin Tian had collapsed from exhaustion while studying. His weak body had simply given up.

And that was the moment when the drifting soul from the cosmic battlefield had entered.

Two lives had merged into one.

Lin Tian sighed softly.

"I owe you this body," he said quietly.

"Your life… I will live it well."

He turned away from the mirror and looked around the small apartment.

The place was simple but tidy.

A single bed.

A wooden desk.

A few bookshelves.

And a laptop on the table.

Outside the window, the city was already waking up. Cars moved along the roads, and distant voices echoed from the streets.

Everything felt peaceful.

So different from the universe filled with war and destruction.

Lin Tian took a deep breath.

The air of Earth felt fresh.

But something else caught his attention.

Energy.

Very faint energy.

He closed his eyes and concentrated.

A moment later, he felt it clearly.

Tiny traces of spiritual energy drifting through the air.

The amount was incredibly small compared to what he had experienced in the universe.

But it existed.

Which meant one important thing.

Cultivation was possible.

Lin Tian slowly opened his eyes.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"Good," he murmured.

"As long as there is energy… I can grow stronger again."

However, he also knew the truth.

Starting from the beginning would not be easy.

His current body was extremely weak.

His cultivation foundation was completely gone.

Even worse, Earth's spiritual energy was thin compared to the cosmic environments he once trained in.

But Lin Tian was not worried.

After all, he carried the memories of his previous life.

He knew powerful techniques.

He understood cultivation principles.

Most importantly…

He had patience.

Lin Tian walked toward the desk and opened one of the notebooks lying there.

It was filled with university notes.

Physics.

Mathematics.

Astronomy.

He flipped through the pages slowly.

The knowledge surprised him slightly.

Humanity on this Earth had developed advanced technology and scientific understanding.

Even though they did not know about cultivation, their exploration of the universe had reached impressive levels.

Satellites.

Space stations.

Planetary research.

Lin Tian smiled faintly.

"Interesting."

The world had changed since the time he originally left Earth in his previous life.

He placed the notebook down and sat cross-legged on the floor.

It was time to test something important.

Cultivation.

Lin Tian closed his eyes and began circulating his breathing slowly.

In his previous life, he had practiced countless powerful techniques.

But most of them required a strong body.

Right now, he needed something simpler.

A basic breathing method to absorb spiritual energy.

His breathing became slow and steady.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

At first, nothing happened.

The room remained silent.

But Lin Tian continued patiently.

Minutes passed.

Then something finally changed.

A faint stream of energy slowly moved toward him.

It was extremely weak.

Almost like a thin thread drifting through the air.

But Lin Tian could feel it clearly.

The energy entered his body through his breathing.

The moment it touched his meridians, a sharp pain appeared.

His body trembled slightly.

The meridians were blocked.

Untrained.

Weak.

The energy struggled to move through them.

But Lin Tian did not stop.

Instead, he carefully guided the energy through the pathways inside his body.

Slowly.

Gently.

After several minutes, the tiny stream of energy finally completed one small circulation.

The result was minimal.

But Lin Tian opened his eyes with satisfaction.

"It works."

Even the smallest progress was valuable.

Because it proved something important.

He could cultivate again.

A faint excitement rose in his heart.

The path that had once taken him across galaxies…

The path that had allowed him to stand against alien emperors…

Had reopened.

Lin Tian stood up and walked back to the window.

The morning sun had fully risen now, painting the sky with warm light.

People moved through the streets below, busy with their daily lives.

None of them knew that in this small apartment, a man who had once fought on a cosmic battlefield had been reborn.

Lin Tian looked at the distant horizon thoughtfully.

He remembered the emperor's cold voice.

The endless alien fleets.

The destruction of countless worlds.

If the future followed the same path…

The cosmic empire might one day reach Earth again.

This time, humanity might not be ready.

But Lin Tian would be.

He clenched his fist slowly.

Even though his body was weak now…

Even though his power had fallen to zero…

He had time.

And determination.

"This time," he whispered softly,

"I will grow stronger… faster than before."

He looked up at the bright sky.

Beyond the blue atmosphere, the endless universe waited.

The stars shimmered faintly in the daylight.

And somewhere out there…

His enemies still existed.

Lin Tian's eyes hardened with determination.

The journey had begun again.
