Maya's POV
"Thank God we're finally here," I breathed, fumbling with my apartment keys while Sebastian stood patiently behind me.
"Home," he repeated softly, drawing me into his embrace the moment we stepped inside. His lips found mine before I could even set my purse down. "Anywhere with you feels like home."
My heart fluttered against his chest as I melted into the kiss. This arrangement was temporary, of course. Just until the doctors cleared him for air travel, maybe for the time being. Then we'd return to our complicated dance between Oakwood Valley and Ohalhaven. But right now, for these stolen days, we could pretend we were just a normal couple sharing normal moments. No medical staff barging in, no constant monitoring, no sterile hospital smell clinging to everything.
