School ended two years ago.
Two. Whole. Years.
And now I'm meeting these idiots again like we didn't all disappear into our own little study caves and pretend feelings don't exist.
So dramatic. So unnecessary.
Yes, I isolated myself. For "focus." For "future." For "discipline."
So deep.
Half of this gang did the same, though. After 12th grade, we all scattered like someone shouted "results are out!" and ran.
Different streams. Different coaching classes. Different lives.
But today?
The circus reunites.
Let me introduce you to my personal headache collection — also known as my friends.
THE GIRLS
*Sasha (Sash)* – The Attitude Queen
This girl.
If you crack a joke, instead of laughing she'll tilt her head and say,
"Was that funny? I was supposed to laugh?"
So annoying!
She will argue with anyone. Teacher. Stranger. God. Gravity. Doesn't matter. If it breathes, she can debate it.
And yet… we've only properly fought once. Three years ago. Legendary argument. Zero casualties.
She's not my best friend, we're close. Very close.
Also?
She's my academic competitor.
We compete for the top rank like it's a survival game. If I get 97, she gets 96. If she gets 98, I get a personality crisis.
Love that for us.
*Samaira(Sam) and Tanya*
The 12th grade trio squad.
We were four — me, Sash, Sam, and Tanya. Always together. Always whispering. Always pretending we're not judging people.
Tanya makes me slightly insecure.
I feel like she judges me.
She doesn't.
But my brain? Drama queen.
Sam is more balanced. Less chaos. More calm. Sweet and Understanding.
And these three idiots are the reason I realised I had a crush on someone.
Yes.
That someone.
Vihaan.
We'll get to that disaster later. Stay seated.
Mahi – The Best Friend
My best friend since 11th grade.
Why since 11th? Because that's when I joined this school. I arrived like a transfer student in a daily soap.
Mahi is silly. Foody. Emotionally dramatic. Average in studies but top rank in loyalty.
She defends me like a lawyer who works for free. She knows every secret. Every crush. Every mental breakdown.
If I murder someone, she'll ask, "Okay but did he deserve it?"
Green flag energy.
The Rest of My Girl Army
• Gia – Our friendship is just roasting each other. Both our parents are strict. Trauma bonding. Cute.
• Tara – Gia's best friend. Soft vibe.
• Yami – Old school friend. Vintage edition.
• Girija – Friends-to-enemy-and-back-to-friend
• Vibhuti – Short time bestie. Now an enemy
• Simran and Rhea – Coaching crew.
Rhea? Professional roaster. Makes me think twice before speaking. So scary.
Simran? The sweetest human alive. If kindness had a face, it would be her.
Now… The Boys
Deep breath.
*Vihaan Ahuja*
He's been in the same school since kindergarten. This man knows every crack on the basketball court like it's family property.
Effortlessly handsome. Doesn't act like it. Which is more annoying.
Not a bad boy. Not a saint.
If someone starts a fight, he finishes it. Calmly. Efficiently.
Academically? Dangerous.
Ranks between third and fifth every year. Aims for first though.
Why can't get the first you ask?
That's the position I and Sasha fight like cats for.
Always close enough to make you nervous.
Good at sports. Very good.
And music?
He plays the flute.
Yes. The flute.
I know. So unfair.
He has this steady voice. Could sing on stage. Won't. Hates attention.
Friends with all the boys. Especially the troublemakers. Has perfect comebacks. Like, surgical-level precision.
No female friends.
Not because he hates girls.
He says they're distracting.
And slightly intimidating.
So mature. So dramatic.
Most of the time, he's either studying, playing sports, or glued to his phone playing mobile games like it's an Olympic event.
Yet I didn't even notice him for 1 whole year. Such a waste!
And unfortunately…
I have history with this man.
We are not discussing that yet.
*Arjun Mehra*
The opposite of Vihaan.
Academics? Average. Just enough to pass peacefully. No tension. No ambition crisis.
But on the field? Beast mode.
Fast. Competitive. Hard to beat.
He's social. Especially with girls. Starts conversations easily. Remembers small details.
Smiles like he knows he's charming.
And the worst part? He doesn't even try.
Confident without ego. Friendly without drama.
He's the calm in the chaos.
And he knows it.
Mayank
Arjun's neighbour. Childhood friend.
Health issues since forever, but still the sweetest soul.
He was my best friend in 11th.
Then in 12th? I slowly backed out.
No reason.
No explanation.
It broke his heart.
We still talk.
But not the same way.
And sometimes that hurts more than a clean break.
So deep.
*Kunal*
Sash's boyfriend.
Chill. Extroverted. Knows random facts about everything. Easy to talk to.
Low drama. High knowledge.
I admired that guy.
Just ADMIRED!
People just don't get the difference between admiring and crushing.
The exact reason for the one fight I mentioned between me and Sash. So annoying!
*Dhruv*
Studious. Sweet.
Brother-type friendship with me since I joined school.
Also a competitor. Because why does everyone want ranks? Relax, people.
Close to Vihaan.
Suspicious duo.
*Siddharth*
Friends with literally everyone.
Some situation with Gia. And Girija's crush. Also gaming partner of Vihaan.
Good at maths. Annoyingly good.
Also a competitor. Because obviously.
*Abhishek*
Head of the troublemakers.
Vihaan's best friend.
And my enemy.
Yes. Enemy.
We do not vibe.
We do not breathe the same air peacefully.
Long story.
The Side Characters
Raj – Casual friend.
Kai – Meme machine. Chaos supplier.
Rohan and Rahul – Old school nostalgia package.
Oh! And me? Be patient, you'll find out on the journey.
By the way. Myself Kiara Oberoi.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the circus.
Reunited after two years.
Older. Slightly wiser. Still idiots.
And somewhere in this mess?
There's unfinished business.
Unspoken feelings.
And one crush that refuses to die.
So annoying.
Let's see what happens next. 😌🔥
