In the peaceful kingdom of Sunflower Valley, there lived a kind and curious princess named Zara. Unlike other princesses who loved grand parties and shiny jewels, Zara loved books, flowers, and the quiet forest near her castle.
Every morning, she would wave goodbye to the royal guards and walk toward the forest with a small basket in her hand. She liked collecting colorful flowers and watching butterflies dance in the air.
One day, while walking deeper into the forest than usual, Zara noticed something strange.
"Twinkle… twinkle…"
It was a soft, shimmering sound.
Zara stopped. She looked around carefully. The trees were tall and green, and the sunlight peeked through the leaves. Again she heard it.
"Sparkle… whoosh…"
Curious but brave, Zara followed the sound until she reached a small blue lake. The water was calm and clear like glass.
Suddenly, she saw a tiny flash of rainbow light behind a rock.
Zara slowly stepped closer.
And there it was.
A tiny dragon.
But this was no ordinary dragon. Its wings glittered like stars, and its scales shone in soft rainbow colors. Every time it moved, tiny sparkles floated in the air.
The little dragon looked scared.
"Hello," Zara said gently, kneeling down. "Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you."
The dragon blinked its shiny eyes. "My name is Sparkle," it said in a tiny voice. "I am trying to learn how to fly… but I keep falling."
Zara smiled warmly. "Everyone falls before they fly."
Sparkle tried to flap his wings. He lifted a little from the ground… but then plop! He landed softly on the grass.
"I can't do it," Sparkle said sadly.
Zara clapped her hands cheerfully. "You lifted higher than before! That means you're improving!"
Sparkle looked surprised. "Really?"
"Yes," Zara nodded. "If you practice every day and believe in yourself, you will fly high in the sky one day."
Sparkle's wings shimmered a little brighter.
For the first time, he felt hope.
Zara stayed until sunset, encouraging her new friend again and again. And as she walked back to the castle, she smiled.
She had made a magical new friend.
But neither of them knew that very soon, Sparkle's flying would be needed to save the entire kingdom…
