Archivist's Note

This document presents the fundamental principles governing the evolution of beings in our world. It is recommended for new recruits, as well as for anyone wishing to understand what separates an ordinary human from a being who has transcended their limits.

Reading this document is advised after becoming aware of recent events involving recruits and a technician assistant. Some may find answers to their questions within these pages.

Author's Note

Hohoho! Your author is back, dear readers!

The "World Building" special chapters are your official databooks for deciphering the universe of Invalid Seed.

No major spoilers.

Only the rules, the scales, and the principles that shape every battle and every ascent.

This first installment lifts the veil on the fundamental mechanism:

Levels, Training, Tiers, and what separates a human… from what comes next.

To be read after Chapter 2 – to understand why three freshly leveled-up recruits can still be dominated by a human "without a system."

---

The Three Pillars of Power

---

1. Level — Approaching the Limit

A human or being possesses natural limits.

Their body, their mind... even perfectly trained, cannot exceed a certain threshold.

Increasing in Level progressively improves the body and mind.

It is not a sudden explosion of power.

It is a gradual approach towards one's own biological limits.

The higher the Level, the more the body perfects itself and the closer it gets to its maximum potential.

But this remains within the framework of the current "container."

Level fills the potential.

It does not change its structure.

---

2. Training — Mastery

Possessing an enhanced body does not mean knowing how to use it.

Training is learning to properly exploit what your Level allows you.

It's coordination, technique, energy management, combat reading, anticipation.

Without training, potential remains clumsy, unstable, wasted.

Level grants the capacity.

Training teaches how to control it.

---

3. Tier — Changing the Container

The Tier is different.

It intervenes when the body's natural limits are reached.

Breaking through a Tier is not about filling the same container more.

It is about changing the container.

Imagine your body as a container:

· Increasing in Level is filling it.

· Training is learning to manipulate what it contains.

· Breaking through a Tier is replacing this container with another, larger, denser, more resistant one.

After a Tier, the old maximum becomes the new minimum.

What was once a peak becomes the foundation.

It's a restart…

but on a superior plane of existence.

---

Application to Recent Events:

The three recruits from Chapter 1 gained several levels by eliminating the bats. Their "container" filled faster than their ability to master it.

They possess raw power, but not the training to properly exploit it.

Remedy, on the other hand, has no system. His container is that of an ordinary human – Tier 0, likely a low level, perhaps even none.

But his training is such that it compensates for this gap.

Years of fighting monsters, enduring pain, honing his technique.

When he locked eyes with the mage, it wasn't a higher level that paralyzed the recruit.

It was experience.

True fear.

The instinct of someone who has brushed against death enough times to no longer fear it.

Power is good, but experience cannot be bought.

The Structure of Acts

Acts represent the major stages in the evolution of a being.

Each Act contains several Tiers.

```
ACT I : Biological Transcendence 🔓 UNLOCKED
├─ Tier 0 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 1 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 2 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 3 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 4 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 5 : Level ?? 🔒
├─ Tier 6 : Level ?? 🔒
└─ 🏅 Tier 8 : Level ?? 🔒
ACT II 🔒 LOCKED
ACT III 🔒 LOCKED
ACT IV 🔒 LOCKED
Note: Tier 8 marks the completion of Act I and opens the path towards Act II.
The exact levels per tier are intentionally hidden in this document. Their revelation will follow the progression of the story.
Glossary of Terms
Term & Definition
Level = Progression towards one's current biological limits. Fills the "container."
Training = Technical mastery and experience allowing one to fully exploit their potential.
Tier = Threshold crossed when natural limits are reached. Fundamentally changes the capacity of the "container."
Act = Major era of evolution containing several tiers. Each act represents a different plane of existence.
System = Interface showing who can progress and also allowing humans to visualize their progression and acquire skills.
Class = Elemental affinity or specialization unlocked via the System. Rare and sought after.
---
Hohoho…
Now you understand.
Intensive training alone does not create a monster.
A high Level alone is not enough either.
You must fill the container.
Learn to use it.
Then shatter it… to adopt a larger one.
Next time, we will analyze the first threshold:
Tier 1.
