Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Ren Kuro had just been about to slip away quietly.

Suddenly—

a voice rang out.

"Excuse me, is this the Dawn Society? We'd like to join."

Across the academy plaza, the air suddenly fell silent.

Tenma Kurogane's face turned dark green, as if he had just swallowed a dead fly.

At Starshine City Spiritual Energy Academy, someone actually dared to ignore him?

These new students were getting a little too arrogant.

He wanted to see exactly who it was.

Turning his head, he saw a bright smile—attached to a face that was ridiculously handsome.

Tenma Kurogane's expression changed drastically.

Why was it him?

Others might not recognize him, but Tenma Kurogane certainly did.

This was the person whom President Serina had personally received yesterday—the academy's super rookie for this year, Alex Bell.

It was said that the academy's principal had paid an enormous price to recruit this genius.

But…

this newcomer seemed rather arrogant.

Not only had he rejected President Serina's invitation,

today he was actually trying to join the Dawn Society, publicly slapping Tenma Kurogane in the face.

If word of this spread, wouldn't it mean that the Thorn Flower Club was inferior to the Dawn Society?

The academy's number-one club…

losing to a half-dead society that couldn't even gather enough members?

No.

This matter had to be reported to President Serina immediately.

Ren Kuro stared at Alex Bell for two seconds.

Wasn't this the pretty-boy freshman he had met yesterday outside the 10x Gravity Training Room?

Bell smiled.

"Senior, we meet again. My name is Alex Bell, and this is Aisha. We'd like to join the Dawn Society. Would that be alright?"

Ren Kuro glanced at Bell.

Then he looked at the girl standing behind him.

Her expression was full of pride, her nose practically pointed toward the sky.

Ren Kuro's face darkened.

If someone like her joined the Dawn Society, wouldn't they have to treat her like some noble princess?

Besides—

for the sake of two freshmen, he'd be offending one big shot and one hidden final boss in the academy.

Not worth it.

Ren Kuro immediately said,

"Sorry. The Dawn Society isn't recruiting today."

"Yuki, pack up our stuff. We're leaving."

Yuki Amehara was nearly dying from anxiety.

Two members had literally delivered themselves to the door, yet the president was refusing them.

But the Dawn Society had always operated under one rule:

Whatever the president says goes.

Yuki Amehara had no room to interfere.

A faint smile appeared on Tenma Kurogane's lips.

He thought to himself,

See that, pretty boy?

At Starshine City Spiritual Energy Academy, this is my territory.

You dared to reject President Serina's invitation.

Even if you're this year's top rookie, if you want to survive here, you'll still need my approval.

Ren Kuro's rejection seemed to surprise Alex Bell slightly.

However—

the smile on Bell's face didn't change at all.

"Senior, I'm afraid that won't be possible."

"This is the principal's order."

As he spoke, Bell took out a notice and handed it to Ren Kuro.

Ren Kuro accepted the notice.

Written clearly on it were the following words:

The Dawn Society must accept Alex Bell and Alex Aisha as members. Otherwise, the Dawn Society will be disbanded, and all of its members will be expelled from the academy.

"Holy crap."

How did the principal get dragged into this mess?

He couldn't provoke the principal.

But now he couldn't even run away.

Expulsion with a single command?

Who could survive that?

Ren Kuro's face darkened.

"Fine. But let me make one thing clear first."

"The Dawn Society has very high entry requirements. If you don't meet them, don't blame me. Even if the principal himself comes, it won't matter."

"Yuki, check their entrance scores and see whether they meet the Dawn Society's standards."

Yuki Amehara looked completely confused.

Since when did the Dawn Society have entry requirements?

The surrounding students were equally speechless, silently cursing Ren Kuro for being shameless.

The Dawn Society only had three members.

One was a useless president with a spiritual growth value of 3, the lowest record in the academy's history.

One was the disgrace of the Warrior Department.

And the last was a Battle Network–addicted girl who constantly shouted about becoming the empire's strongest assassin while skipping theoretical classes.

And yet—

this kind of club was claiming its entry requirements were very high.

Ren Kuro remained calm.

What do you idiots know?

In the future, the members of the Dawn Society would absolutely shock the entire Noah Empire.

Don't ask why.

With the system in hand—

that's how confident he was.

Yuki Amehara took the entrance records from Alex Bell and Aisha.

The next second, he froze completely.

"P–p–p–p–President…"

Hearing Yuki Amehara stutter like that, Ren Kuro leaned over and glanced at the results sheet.

Even he was shocked.

No way.

Could these be the legendary geniuses?

Future hidden bosses?

Both of them had almost perfect theoretical scores.

Their spiritual growth values were 9.3 and 9.4.

These two…

were monsters.

At Starshine City Spiritual Energy Academy, even the goddess Serina, who currently held the highest spiritual growth value, only had 9.1.
