Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Silly Big Sister

[The Strongest Demon God System]

This crude and excessively straightforward name was the system Junze had come with when he awakened.

And it was precisely through this system's positioning, this pair of functions, that Junze learned his current location.

However, aside from that, Junze had obtained nothing useful whatsoever from this thing.

Why?

Because this system had only four functions in total.

[Map].

Positioning was one of its sub-functions.

In the wilderness, this function was actually quite useful, but for Junze…

"Grrr~~"

Junze, who had just eaten half a piece of eggshell, was hungry again.

He pouted and swiped past this function.

'What's the use of knowing my location? I'm starving!'

Junze roared inwardly.

The second function, [Status].

Simply put, it showed Junze's current condition.

But looking at it now, aside from the Hunger debuff being especially obvious, everything else was a hazy gray.

'I know I'm hungry too!'

Junze was almost crying.

Clearly, this was yet another function that did little to change his current situation.

If it had any use at all, it was just telling Junze that if he didn't eat soon, he would die.

As the Beast of Gluttony, Taotie was said in legend to devour even its own body.

Junze absolutely did not want something like that to happen to him. That would be far too terrifying.

The third function, [Quests].

OK!

Junze flipped past this page with lifeless, dead-fish eyes.

Why?

Because it was completely blank.

Since Junze's birth, not a single quest had appeared.

'At least give me some quests where I can get unlimited Primogems just by breathing!'

Junze roared loudly in his mind once again.

The fourth function, [Wish].

That's right. This was the most ugly, sinful function!

It sounded nice to call it Wish, but in essence, it was just a gacha system!

Bastard!

Junze tremblingly opened the Wish interface.

Having completed no quests at all, he had no Primogems to pull with.

And as someone cursed with terrible luck, Junze didn't believe he could draw anything good from this pool anyway.

Judging by the name Wish, he could only pray this thing worked like miHoYo's Wish system and had a pity guarantee.

Otherwise… he'd be numb with despair.

Through the [Wish] interface, Junze roughly learned what kinds of things were inside.

Attributes, skills, quests, and items.

Four categories in total, all mixed into a single pool.

'Feels like I'll draw a lot of trash in the future.'

Junze internally jinxed himself, then closed the system.

After all, continuing to look at it would only make him covet the things in the [Wish] interface, and serve no other purpose.

And you had to know, coveting things consumed even more energy!

'So hungry…'

Junze glanced at the half piece of eggshell beside him. After thinking about it, he still didn't reach out to take it.

That was dinner!

Junze forced himself to close his eyes.

Better to sleep. If he slept, he wouldn't feel hungry.

With no other options, Junze could only choose this method that consumed the least energy.

And Junze quickly fell into slumber.

Only, that stomach of his…

"Grrr—grrr—"

The terrifying sound of his belly rumbling echoed continuously through Jueyun Karst.

And not long after Junze fell asleep, that blue figure, Ganyu, arrived here.

Leaping through the mountains, Ganyu quickly spotted Junze's eggshell.

Ganyu immediately entered a combat stance. If she saw anything frightening inside the shell, she would attack at once.

"The sound came from here…!"

Ganyu stared in shock at Junze, fast asleep inside the massive eggshell. Even her combat posture froze.

She had originally thought some strange beast had been born, which was why such a loud sound had occurred.

But she had never expected that inside it, there would be a child only one or two years old, sleeping soundly.

"Why is this happening?!"

Ganyu was extremely puzzled.

"The disturbance from a few days ago… could it have all been caused by this child?"

Ganyu looked at the sleeping Junze, somewhat hesitant.

At a glance, Junze clearly did not resemble an ordinary human. It was indeed easy to connect him with the strange phenomena from days earlier.

Especially those horns, which made Ganyu feel this child might, like herself, be a hybrid born of human and a god.

But…

Ganyu pressed her lips together.

Looking at Junze sleeping so innocently, such a cute child who made one feel at ease, could he really be connected to such terrifying phenomena?

After all, the abnormal event a few days ago had directly shrouded more than half of Liyue's sky.

Everyone had felt a dreadful aura.

Although many anomalies now pointed toward Junze, Ganyu simply could not imagine that the child before her could produce such terrifying effects.

Even so, despite thinking this way, Ganyu did not relax her guard.

After all, she had lived through the Archon War, battle-hardened and experienced. She could not possibly let a child's cuteness affect her judgment.

Thinking this, Ganyu's gaze inadvertently drifted to Junze's horns.

"He… has horns similar to mine."

Ganyu slowly walked closer to the eggshell and unconsciously extended her hand.

In the past, elder adepti had always wanted to touch her horns, which troubled Ganyu very, very much.

While working in Liyue Harbor, she even claimed her horns were just hair ornaments, to prevent others from curiously touching them.

"So why do they always want to touch horns?"

Ganyu felt troubled, yet unknowingly, the hand she had extended drew closer and closer to Junze's horns.

"Having your horns touched really doesn't feel very… good?"

Ganyu had still been recalling her childhood experiences of having her horns touched by adeptus elders and was about to voice a small complaint, when in the next second she froze.

Why?

Because she had touched Junze's horns.

The dragon-slaying maiden had become the dragon!
