Chapter 29: The Beast Tamer's Logic and the Ascension to the Higher Plane
The world did not just break; it unraveled. Under the strike of the First Shadow, the laws of physics that governed the lower realm—gravity, light, and Qi-density—simply ceased to function. Tian Mo felt the sickening sensation of his own atoms being "erased," a feeling the Divine Library translated as a Logic-Void.
"General! Expand the Legion-Shield to the atomic level!" Tian Mo roared.

[Destination: The Great Azure Empire (Higher Plane).]
[Warning: Higher Plane Qi-density is 500x higher. Host and Students may suffer 'Atmospheric Crushing'.]
The white light became blinding. When it faded, the smell of ozone was replaced by something sweet, heavy, and terrifyingly dense. Tian Mo slammed into a grassy plain, the weight of the air feeling like a lead blanket. Beside him, his nine students lay gasping, their blood vessels straining against the sudden surge of external pressure.
"Teacher..." Prince Yan choked out. "The air... it's too thick to breathe."
"Don't breathe it," Tian Mo wheezed, forcing himself to stand. His Sovereign's Domain flared, creating a temporary low-pressure bubble around his students. "Filter it. Imagine your lungs are Osmotic Membranes. Let the Qi in, but don't let the weight of the world settle."
The Welcome Committee: The Iron-Hoof Beast Tamers
Tian Mo looked around. They were in a valley of emerald grass so sharp it could cut silk. In the distance, floating mountains pierced the clouds. This was the Higher Plane, a world where a 3-Star Badge from the lower realm was worth less than the scrap metal it was minted on.
A thundering sound approached. From the horizon, a herd of Thunder-Scaled Rhinos charged, led by a group of riders in heavy bronze armor. Each rhino was at the Half-Step Golden Core level—beasts that would have decimated a city in the lower realm were being used here as common steeds.
The lead rider, a woman with a scar across her nose and a 2-Star Beast Tamer Badge on her chest, pulled her mount to a halt. She looked at Tian Mo's 3-Star Teacher badge with a sneer.
"Refugees from the Low-Lands?" she laughed. "Look at that badge. Three stars? In the Empire, that barely qualifies you to teach a parrot to talk. I am Instructor Fang of the Iron-Hoof Guild. You are trespassing on the Beast-Pastures of the Azure Throne."
"We seek only passage to the nearest city," Tian Mo said, his voice steady despite the crushing gravity.
"Passage costs 10,000 High-Grade Spirit Stones," Fang replied, her rhino snorting a spark of electricity. "Or... you can prove that '3-Star' title is more than just jewelry. One of my beasts has gone 'Void-Mad'. Fix it, and I'll give you a lift. Fail, and you become rhino feed."
The Mad King of the Pasture
She pointed to a massive, black-furred Cloud-Leopard locked in a cage made of Spirit-Iron. The beast was clawing at its own skin, its eyes glowing with a chaotic, purple light. Ten 1-Star Beast Tamers were trying to soothe it with "Soothing Mantras," but the leopard only grew more violent.
"It has 'Spirit-Congestion'," Instructor Fang explained. "We've tried the 'Water-Path Sedation'. Nothing works. Its ego is too high."
Tian Mo walked toward the cage. His students watched, their faces pale. Even in their weakened state, they could sense the sheer power of the leopard.
[Divine Library: Scanning Target – Cloud-Leopard.]
[Status: 'Neural-Feedback Loop'.]
[Flaw: The beast isn't mad; it's 'over-hearing'. Its auditory nerves are vibrating with the Higher Plane's Spirit-Vein frequency.]
"Your 'Soothing Mantras' are the problem," Tian Mo said, not looking back. "You are trying to quiet a beast that is already deafened by the world. It's like screaming 'Shut up' at someone standing next to a jet engine."
The Logic of the Beast: The Sympathetic Vibration
Tian Mo didn't use a mantra. He didn't use a whip. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, hollow reed from the emerald grass.
"Beast taming in the Lower Plane is about 'Dominance'," Tian Mo lectured, his voice carrying the weight of his 19.5 Soul Depth. "In the Higher Plane, where the energy is 500x denser, dominance is a death sentence. You must practice 'Acoustic Grounding'."
He began to carve small holes into the reed with his fingernail, following a complex mathematical sequence provided by the Architect (Kael).
"Instructor Fang, your leopard is at the Peak Golden Core level," Tian Mo said. "Its nervous system is a high-speed highway. The Higher Plane's Qi is the traffic. Currently, there is a ten-car pileup in its Medulla Oblongata."
Tian Mo began to play the reed. It wasn't music. It was a series of rhythmic, low-frequency pulses.
[Logic Strike: The Biological Grounding.]
As the sound hit the leopard, the beast stopped clawing itself. The purple light in its eyes began to fade. It wasn't being sedated; it was being Re-Tuned.
"The sound creates a counter-vibration," Tian Mo explained to his students. "It cancels out the 'noise' of the Spirit-Veins. I am providing the beast with a Neural-Heatsink."
The leopard let out a long, shuddering breath. It walked to the bars of the cage and lowered its head, purring with a sound that shook the ground.
The Reversal of Status
Instructor Fang stared in disbelief. She had spent ten years studying under a 4-Star Beast Master, yet she had never seen a beast cured by a "Janitor's Whistle."
"You... you didn't use a drop of Qi," she whispered. "How?"
"Qi is just the fuel," Tian Mo said, stepping away from the cage. "Logic is the steering wheel. Your Empire has plenty of fuel, but you're all driving into walls."
Tian Mo looked at his students. "Prince Yan, Lady Ruo—get on the rhinos. We have a city to reach. And Instructor Fang... keep your rhinos away from the North-East Wind tonight. Their scales are slightly dehydrated; the wind's friction will cause a static-shock that will make them throw you off."
Fang checked the scales of her mount. They were indeed dry. She looked at Tian Mo with a mixture of fear and newfound respect. In this world, knowledge was the only thing more valuable than Qi.
"I will take you to Azure-Gate City," Fang said, bowing low. "But be warned, 3-Star. The Teacher's Hall in the city is run by the Sect of the Eternal Sword. They don't like 'Logicians'. They think everything can be solved with a blade."
"I look forward to correcting them," Tian Mo replied.
The Apprentice's Entrance
They arrived at the gates of Azure-Gate City—a metropolis of white stone and gravity-defying bridges. At the entrance sat the Beast Tamer Guild, a massive colosseum where thousands of tamers competed for rank.
Tian Mo walked to the registration desk. He placed his 3-Star Badge on the counter.
"I wish to register as a Master Tamer," Tian Mo said.
The clerk, a man with a 4-Star Badge, didn't even look up. "Lower Plane 3-Star? That translates to Apprentice Grade 1 here. You'll need to clean the stables for six months before you're allowed to touch a spirit-beast."
Tian Mo didn't argue. He looked at the stables, where a hundred Fire-Maned Stallions were currently kicking down their stalls in a synchronized frenzy.
"I'll take the job," Tian Mo said, a cold smile playing on his lips. "But by tomorrow, your 'Apprentices' will be teaching your 'Masters'."
The Library's New Archive
That night, in the damp straw of the stables, Tian Mo sat with his students. The gravity was still heavy, but they were adapting.

"Teacher," Mo Ling asked, shivering in the cold. "Why are we starting at the bottom again? You could have crushed that clerk."
"Because, Mo Ling," Tian Mo said, looking at the stars of the Higher Plane. "The 'Invisible Ceiling' of the lower world was made of glass. The ceiling of this world is made of Ego. To break it, we must first become the foundation. Tomorrow, we don't just tame horses. We tame the Guild."
