Darkness.
Aarya woke up in a basement. Damp. Cold. Smelling of old water and fear.
Her hands were tied. Her mouth was taped. She couldn't move.
Footsteps on stairs.
Vikram Mishra walked in. Followed by another man.
Karan Malhotra.
The two uncles. Together. Brothers in evil.
"Ah, she's awake. Good."
Karan sat on a chair in front of her. Vikram leaned against the wall.
"You know, Aarya, if you had just stayed in Dehradun, none of this would have happened. But you had to be a hero. You had to find the truth."
Aarya screamed through the tape.
Karan pulled it off. "Speak."
"Both of you are monsters. My mother was your sister, Vikram. Your own blood. And you helped kill her."
Vikram's face didn't change.
"Your mother made her choice when she married Satyendra. She chose revenge over family. I chose money over revenge. Simple."
"She was your sister!"
"She was a fool. Revenge doesn't pay. Money pays. Karan made me rich. I made him safe. Fair trade."
Aarya looked at Karan. "And you? He's your brother? How did you two even meet?"
Karan smiled. "Your mother introduced us. When she married your father, she brought Vikram to meet the family. He was just a poor village boy then. I saw something in him. Ambition. Hunger. We became partners."
"While my mother waited for her chance to kill you, her own brother was helping you."
"Yes. Beautiful, isn't it? Family."
Aarya wanted to spit on him.
"What happens now?"
"You die. Tonight. But first, you tell us who else knows. Captain Avinash is dead now. Hospital staff found him. But did you tell anyone else? Police? Media?"
"No one. I trusted Aryan, and he was yours."
Karan nodded. "Good. Then this ends tonight."
He stood up. Walked to the stairs.
"Vikram, finish her. Cleanly. No mess."
He left.
Vikram pulled out a gun. Looked at it. Looked at Aarya.
"Any last words?"
"Yeah. You're going to burn in hell."
Vikram laughed. Raised the gun.
Then the lights went out.
Complete darkness.
Shouts. Running footsteps. A crash.
A hand grabbed Aarya. Cut her ropes.
"Come. Quick."
Aryan's voice.
"You traitor! You—"
"I'll explain later. Now run!"
They ran through darkness. Up stairs. Through corridors. Gunshots behind them.
Burst through a door. Outside. Moonlight. Trees.
A car waiting. Engine running.
"Get in!"
They jumped in. Car sped away.
Behind them, Vikram's men running, shooting, fading into the night.
