Breaking the silence of the dining table, Aryan Talukdar throws a question at Mahtim
-How do you like the university here?
Mahtim answers briefly
-Well.
Pin-drop silence reigns again. There is no sound except the clinking of glassware. Yet once this house used to be bustling with people. The echoes of laughter echoed off every wall.
But today there is no life in that empire. Just as an environment becomes lifeless due to the bitterness of a curse, so too did Talukdar Mansion lose its life many years ago.
After finishing his meal, Mahtim left the dining room and went to his room. He said in a low voice to Fatema Talukdar
- Mom, bring me a cup of coffee in my room after a while.
Saying this, he went to his room by the stairs. Fatema Talukdar looked at his son for a while and then focused on his work again. After some time, Fatema Talukdar stood in front of the door of her son's room with coffee in hand and saw Mahtim working on his laptop. Fatema Talukdar knocked on the door.
While Mahtim was working on his laptop, he raised his eyebrows when there was a knock on the door and saw his mother standing at the door. He had been doing some university work on his laptop all this time. His eyes narrowed at his mother's knock.
Fatima Talukder, understanding the language in her son's eyes, smiled lightly and said as she entered the room: "The son is now grown up, so it won't be a problem if he suddenly enters."
