Earth did not fall in a single day. It however, was still overwhelmingly dismantled.

When the Veyruuns descended; hunted across the stars by beings known only as Nephilims... humanity was dragged into a war it did not understand. Cities vanished, the skies burned and bled. And in less than a decade, Earth was reduced to a battlefield struggling for breath.

But the invasion was not the worst part.
The worst part was seeing the end — witnessing Earth’s finality over and over again, and knowing there was no version of tomorrow where it survived.

Conrad was not a dreamer. Yet every night, when sleep claims him, he is forced to watch the world die. Continents fractured down to the Earth's core. Everyone and everything he has ever known, forgotten in the ashes of a bygone world.

Sometimes, he dies first. Sometimes he lives long enough to watch everything collapse.
And sometimes, the world falls because of him... Mostly when he tries to change the outcome in these lucid dreams.

Abilities that were supposed to be a gift, became his curse instead... Shackling him to lifetimes he never lived.

If there was one thing he had however learnt from these borrowed lifetimes, it was that he is not a chosen savior, neither is he a symbol of hope. Heck! He is not even sure he wants to survive.

He just wants to wake up one morning and not see the world burning behind his eyelids.

But to reach that ordinary tomorrow, he will have to do something unforgivable... become something unforgivable. 
Because the truth hidden within his eyes is not foresight but finality.
And the more he uses it, the closer the world moves toward the ending that only he can see.

This is not a story about a chosen hero saving the world or stuff like that... It is the story of a boy who wakes up in a world that has already begun to end.


What You Should Expect: An Unraveling of the World


Humanity is already ten years into a war that should have erased it.


Two alien races — the towering Nephilims and the fleeing Veyruuns — brought their conflict to Earth. 


Well, with their descent is the revolution of everything humanity thought it had known and believed... Most especially, the discovery of ichor — the supposed blood of gods.


A substance that mutates biology, bends physics, awakens abilities, and contaminates reality itself.


He is cautious, observant, and often frighteningly calm in situations where most people would panic.


You Shouldn't Expect A Traditional "Save the World" Narrative


The future Conrad sees is full of Nexus Events—points in time that cannot be changed without destroying the timeline itself.


The question is not always whether something can be stopped.


Conrad also is a very controversial person. I wouldn't call him a villain, but expect him to make morally questionable decisions. 


He is manipulative, ruthless, utilitarian and pragmatic.


He was trained and raised to be an efficient soldier and killing machine. After all, in a dying world, the difference between: savior, survivor and monster can become very small.


And the more he learns about the future, the less certain it becomes that he is simply trying to prevent it.


The story itself, is dark — dark fantasy — featuring: philosophy, tragedy, psychology... Err... Am I sounding fancy? Even I don't know, let's read and find out together.


Also, before you become invested, let me perhaps warn or voice out that this is not some happy-go-lucky work. Things are bound to happen that'll tick you off, some might make you cry (hopefully), some might make you laugh (hopefully as well), and some might even make you curse me outright. 


Each character is dynamic and realistic in their own way... So expect human flaws. 


Anyways, I say give it a chance and enjoy the journey... It's a thrilling one I guarantee you.
