When Mifta looked around the room she woke up in, the only source of light was a torch set in the hall outside an iron door. The cell, a cold and damp space carved into the earth, had barely enough room to move around in. A small, artificial breeze passed by her, yet to her it felt…wrong.
A shiver ran down her body, from the top of her ears, all the way down to the soles of her feet. Wait, ears? Her hands went up to where her ears should be, feeling the bumpy flesh that had once been her ears. The touch sent a jolt of pain through her, causing her hand to smack against the wall. The involuntary action brought another small sting but also another bizarre feeling.
She blinked the tears away from her eyes, her vision slowly focusing on her hands and arms. Hair? Fur? She wasn't sure, but her arms and just past her wrist were covered in a short, thick layer of it.
