Every time the phone's battery drops to 1%, an unknown shadow knocks on Abhimanyu's door. At first, he thinks it's a glitch, but when the bodies of his friends start turning up, he realizes it's not a software error, but an ancient spirit that hunts for digital signals. Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Midnight Notification

On a cold, heavy night in Lucknow, Abhimanyu sat in his small room, editing a video. His old smartphone suddenly vibrated. A strange notification flashed on the screen: System Update: 99% Souls Collected.

Abhimanyu yelled and picked up the phone. What the hell is this? I just formatted everything! He swiped at the deteriorating screen. But the screen touch wouldnt work. Suddenly, the phones flashlight began blinking on and off, as if someone was speaking in Morse code.

He noticed the phones battery was rapidly depleting. 80%...50%...10%...

I just charged it! He plugged it in, but the charging indicator didnt appear. A new message appeared on the screen: Im in the room.

Abhimanyus hair stood on end. He slowly looked back. The room was completely empty, but he heard a rustling sound in his ears, as if someone was breathing very close. Suddenly, his laptop screen turned into a Blue Screen of Death, and written across it in blood-red ink was: Dont let the battery run out.

The battery was now at 1%.

The lights went out in the entire building. Only the cold blue light of his phone shone in the pitch darkness. Just then, there were three heavy knocks on his closed door.

Thud...thud...thud...

Abhimanyus heart sank. He tried to throw the phone against the wall, but it was stuck to his hand. A horrifying scream echoed throughout the room, and a face appeared on the phone screen—no eyes, just two black bells.

Now its your turn, Abhimanyu...
