The night was quite, with something heavy lingering in the air.
Jane and Gerald took the kids straight to bed after dinner, with Gerald taking the twins to their room while Jane followed kale to her room.
"Mom can you tell me a story I don't feel sleepy yet" kale said
"Oh darling ok mummy is gonna tell you a story" she said tucking kale onto the bed.
" How about I tell you the story of the beautiful dragon princess...."
"Noooo" kale interrupted
" You've told that story before"
"Haaa" Jane chuckled
"Ok my little darling which story do you wanna hear "
"I wanna hear a new one" kale said
"Hmmmmm"tapping her fingers on her chin Jane pretended to think then said
"Ok how about I tell you the story of a powerful young sorcerer who lived millennia ago "
"Yey I wanna hear it"
Jane chuckled lightly while pinching kales cheeks softly she continued.
"Long long ago where the world was ones ruled by magic, where unknown creatures,beast and demons brought destruction and reeked havoc to our world,a young sorcerer so powerful he used his powers to create a barrier so strong preventing those entitys from ever crossing into our world again."
Jane paused, glancing at kale whose eyes lids had started dropping, then continued
"But due to greed and the selfish desire to gain power some people weren't happy about it and tried all means to destroy the young sorcerers magic, but what they didn't know was that to erect that barrier the young sorcerer used a piece of his soul binding it to the barrier so no one would ever destroy it".
Kale with her eyes shut spoke softly
" Mom what was his name "
Jane paused looking at her daughter who had already gone to sleep, an unknown emotion flashing in her eyes she said
"Elidi .....
