Chapter 1 - Introduction

Creative writing can be personal or shared with others, it is a space for you to create a new world using your imagination. You decide what the words are and where they take you to. You choose which emotions you want to express and how you do so. Creative writing is a space with the utmost freedom, where your imagination and emotions are the driving force and main source of fuel. The biggest motivation is yourself, in what you believe and how you feel. You are the creator, the words are yours to bring to life. I have been writing poetry for 11 years, songs for 6 years, and stories for around 4 years. Writing is a big passion of mine, and is one of the things that has truly improved my life and made me happy to exist in this world. Some of my favorite genres to write include fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery. I hope to improve my writing so I can write even more prose throughout my life. I would love nothing more than to continue my writing journey for many years to come. To me, words are freedom on a page. The truest form of self-expression, like sketching a picture with all your thoughts and emotions laid bare.
