ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...…
It was a roar that filled the entirety of the island, while Mark felt his eardrums nearly bursting, as he finally saw the beast that was an inch away from killing him.
It was a tiger.
Pitch black tiger, blacker than anything he had ever seen. Its majesty was such that anyone who had seen it would fall to their knees automatically.
Its teeth were so sharp that they looked as if they could tear iron like butter. Its pitch black eyes looked as if everything was beneath it in this world.
It was tall enough to reach Mark's waist, who was 6 feet tall, making it 3 feet taller.
And there it stood on top of Mark, its right claw on his shoulder, left claw on the ground, its hind legs holding him completely beneath it, while its face was just an inch away from him, as it stared into his eyes, as an abyss stares back at whoever stares in it.
Enchanted, Mark looked at the splendor of this majestic being, which was showing its true self to him before it killed him, just like its other prey.
Telling him that it was the great black tiger that had killed him, as he saw it opening its mouth, making his face become ruthless, too.
Although he was in awe of this being, that doesn't mean he was ready to die from its fangs, get devoured as if he were just another prey.
Spitting on the tiger's right eye, he slammed his left open hand (Purlicue) on the tiger's neck, making it become stunned in shock.
It was as if the tiger couldn't believe its prey was retaliating against it. Not to say spitting in its eyes and then slamming its hand on its neck, as it felt the piercing pain in both areas.
Its eye stung hard, as it felt the suffocating pain on its neck, making it roar again loudly and disappear into the shadow, right from where it had come, surprising Mark, telling him that this majestic being wasn't as powerful as it looked.
Or more like, it was still within his power to kill, but the next second, his surprise turned into horror, when from beneath his feet, a mouth opened, making him jump with all his power.
As he saw the jaw snapping shut, obliterating the land in shock, where the jaw had shut.
Without waiting, Mark threw both of his knives, one at the tiger and the other at his shadow, which was now moving along with him.
Making the tiger roar and disappear again, but when it reappeared, it stood on top of the giant stone, which was between all the trees, as it looked at Mark from the top, who had now descended.
As a king looks at the peasant, the tiger looked at Mark, making his face become expressionless as he pulled the pistol out, which he had hidden in a space for some special people.
But compared to this tiger, those people were nothing but trash that he could kill anytime he wanted.
Truthfully, all Mark wanted to do right now was to run. This fight just wasn't worth it.
This majestic being could come and disappear into any of the shadows in its vicinity. It had already shown that.
Plus, even within Mark's power to kill, this being was still powerful enough to make him disappear from this world, just like the other red dots.
Not to say, even if he did end up killing it, all he would get was 0.1 stat point and some pieces of meat.
No matter how he saw it, this just wasn't the right type of transaction he wanted while killing.
But the great tiger which had just been spat at by a measly ant was furious beyond such reasoning.
All it wanted to do was slither this pathetic being until there existed not even a drop of his blood.
But instead of disappearing into the shadow, the tiger this time came running towards Mark in full speed, and it was fast, faster than Mark had thought, who raised his gun and fired five shots one after another, covering all the area, top, bottom, left, right, and middle, when suddenly the tiger disappeared, making the bullets hit nothing.
The next second, the tiger reappeared behind Mark, but predicting such a move, he dodged by rolling in front, but like a leech, the tiger kept itself attached to his shadow and furiously slapped with its claw at him, who, the moment his body turned towards the tiger, fired his gun.
In such a close range, nothing could save the tiger, plus Mark had targeted the tiger's chest, which was the widest part, yet something amazing happened when the bullet passed through the tiger as if slithering a real shadow, not hitting anything, while the paw which was descending towards Mark hit him hard on his chest, sending him fly, as the blood spilled out of his chest like water.
While falling and rolling nearly five times did his momentum started to slow down, but instead of falling, he took the help of the speed through which he was rolling and slapped his left palm on the ground to jump in the air and fired five more shots in his shadow.
But nothing came out of it, as finally Mark couldn't help himself and coughed hard to spill all the blood stuck in his throat, as ignoring the pain, he stared everywhere to see where the tiger was, which had disappeared.
This was the first time things weren't going according to how Mark had planned. Even when he used strategies, still nothing worked. It was as if he were completely being seen through,
As finally, he saw the tiger, which was hiding on top of the tree and could barely be seen, on its mouth was now something that it was chewing.
Looking closely, Mark found that it was a snake, which looked just like a tree, just like the one he killed, but this one was bigger, nearly an adult, and its camouflage capability was even horrendous than the one he killed.
It did not even look like a snake but a branch which had leaf-shaped spots all over it, the same leaf the tree had, yet somehow the tiger found it and now was eating it, as its eyes stared at him.
