Chapter 1 - THE LIGHT INSIDE THE HOME

The Light Inside the Home

In a small town in West Bengal, there lived a family of five — two guardians and their three children. The father, Rashid, was a school teacher, and the mother, Amina, was a homemaker who believed strongly in patience and prayer.

They had two sons and one daughter.

The eldest son, Yusuf, was deeply devoted to his faith. From a young age, he loved reading religious books and helping people understand kindness, honesty, and unity. As he grew older, he became a respected community speaker. People often invited him to guide youth toward peace and good character.

The youngest son, Arman, however, struggled in life. He fell into bad company. Slowly, he started drinking and ignoring his responsibilities. His parents were heartbroken, but they never stopped loving him.

Their daughter, Zara, was intelligent and strong-minded. She studied hard and always tried to keep peace between her brothers. She believed that every person can change if given love and support.

One evening, Arman came home late. He saw his mother sitting quietly with tears in her eyes. She wasn't angry — she was worried.

That night, Yusuf didn't scold his brother. Instead, he sat beside him and said softly:

"Allah forgives those who try again. You are not bad, Arman. You are just lost. Come back home — not just to this house, but to yourself."

Those words stayed in Arman's heart.

Days passed. Slowly, Arman began changing. He reduced his drinking, started working with his father, and even joined Yusuf in community service programs. It was not easy. He failed sometimes. But his family never gave up on him.

Years later, people admired Yusuf for his leadership — but what made him proudest was seeing his brother standing beside him, helping others who were struggling just like he once did.

The family learned something powerful:

Faith gives guidance. Love gives strength.

And family gives second chances.
