Chapter 140 - 140

Lin Bei's lips curled in a satisfied smile.

He had finally obtained a World Origin Fragment.

With this, he could report back to Aleria.

He swept a glance over the notifications.

Once again he'd earned 100 million Reputation and a King's Medal.

On top of that, he'd received 10,000 boss summoning cards that could call Resilience King · Qing Sha to fight.

Unfortunately, this time there was no Primal Force—only 100 units of Rule Power, death-attribute.

Lin Bei hadn't the faintest clue what to do with Death Rule Power and could only shelve it for now.

He stashed the power in his storage space; he'd ask someone later.

Besides that, he'd gained 500 blood soul crystal stones and 2,000 talent books engraved with the "Heaven Eye" ability.

He'd also obtained 100 pairs of Epic "Resilience Boots" that negated over 90% of control effects.

Pretty useful.

Of course, being Epic gear, the boots offered far more than crowd-control immunity.

They boasted several potent special effects.

And those hundred pairs differed—some effects were unique.

The flashiest pair carried over ten special effects, the most he'd ever seen on one item.

Without hesitation he swapped out his Wave-Step Warboots for that god-tier pair.

"Epic boots—now this is comfort!'"

"If you want the good stuff, farm World BOSSes!"

All smiles, Lin Bei returned to the altar and resumed slotting crystals.

He flicked open his Attribute Panel.

Though Resilience King had killed itself, the Plunder System still triggered.

With the boss's 10.2 billion starting Combat Power, even a "mere" 3,000× critical gave a fat stat boost.

[HP: 208.9B (↑4.2B) – Epic Four-Star]

[Spirit: 64.3B (↑19.2B) – Epic Three-Star]

[Combat Power: 136.6B (↑30.6B) – Epic Three-Star]

And that was without using his 500 blood soul stones—burn them with luck and he'd hit Epic Four-Star outright.

But he wasn't in a rush.

Absorbing the stones took time.

With only ninety minutes of Super Luck left, priority one was to kill as many World BOSSes as possible.

Moments later the altar was fully slotted; he drew another challenge token.

Swish—

Above the Abyss Sea a colossal array flared and a titanic figure emerged.

[World BOSS: Thunder King · Lei Zhen]

[Combat Power: 12B – Epic Three-Star]

"All lightning under heaven obeys me!"

Swish—

The thunder titan appeared in the battle-space, crackling arcs lifting every strand of his hair.

"Finally, an Epic Three-Star World BOSS!"

Lin Bei's eyes lit; Annihilation Force cloaked his strike as he lunged.

Half a minute later the fight was over.

Thunder King · Lei Zhen, roaring in rage, detonated into a titanic sphere of lightning to take Lin Bei with him.

Yet the thunder only rocked Lin Bei slightly before fading.

As the last bolt died, Lin Bei stepped up, grinning.

Second World Origin Fragment—claimed.

At the same time a 4,000× critical from Plunder sent his stats soaring again.

[HP: 264.9B (↑56B) – Epic Four-Star]

[Spirit: 104.3B (↑40B) – Epic Four-Star]

[Combat Power: 184.6B (↑48B) – Epic Four-Star]

"Epic Four-Star!"

Joy flashed in his eyes; without pausing to loot he returned to the altar to summon the next World BOSS.

The watching Survivors outside had fallen dead silent.

Every mouth gaped, every eye stared; no one could even breathe.

Is that even human?

Beiming's cheating, right?

Thunder King's 12 billion Combat Power made him an Epic Three-Star juggernaut.

But aside from his entrance line, the moment he teleported in he'd done nothing but rage helplessly.

His thunderous skills shook heaven and earth yet dealt zero damage—utterly crushed.

In under thirty seconds he was obliterated.

"Is he hacking? That's a 12B Epic Three-Star World BOSS—his fart could kill us!"

"I don't know about hacks, but from today on everyone in the Thirty-Six Main Cities—Survivors and Reborn Ones alike—won't be able to lift their heads!"

"It makes no sense! High-tier Survivors with over 100M power should be suppressed at least 50% in a King-Level Dungeon World, more the stronger they are! This Beiming… he ignores the rules—he's a bug!"

"Right! He just steamrolled an Epic Three-Star World BOSS—his power has to be triple the boss's. It's impossible!"

"But the world will hasn't erased him—what's going on?"

Terror and unease gripped every heart.

Before, they'd called Beiming a powerhouse.

Now they called him a demon.

His strength had surpassed their comprehension.

Many were agents of other factions; watching Lin Bei's display, they grew frantic.

The King-Level Dungeon World was the Logistics Zone for gods and myriad races.

Yet a bug-level entity had appeared.

If not handled, the Logistics Zone could no longer supply the front lines—catastrophe would follow.

Soon the onlookers dispersed.

Any thought of scavenging was gone.

Run now—before one punch wiped them all out.

"We must report back! With Beiming here, no one else stands a chance!"

That single thought filled every faction's Survivors… In the boundless dark, a titanic pupil slowly opened, surprise flickering within.

"Strange… why is my power constantly draining?"

"Something's wrong—could someone be… stealing my strength?"

"Who is this thief… could it be those so-called gods?"
