Jamie already started being suspicious of his system. While those Main Characters were happy to get systems, Jamie just thought that it was too good to be true.
"You know, in quite a lot of stories, the systems turn out to be made by really strong people at the level of Gods. Well, you did say you are made by God. But in those stories, those Gods those Gods were manipulating and using the Main Characters through their systems. There were also cases where the systems were made by the Main Characters themselves, at least their God-level selves. They were bored or wanted to learn something and made a new version of themselves with no memory of their real selves. Then once those avatars get strong enough, they are absorbed by their real selves. Either way, those who get systems were just pawns meant to be harvested in the future. Going through all those hardships only to help someone else get stronger. So tell me honestly. Which one are you?"
[.... You sure read the most bizarre stories. Well, I will say this is neither of those scenarios. I will explain this as easily as possible. Even an 8 year old will understand.]

Jamie looked at his body and he seemed to get younger.
[Then you should understand. You played games, right? There were many games even on Earth. Let's just say every game is its own world. Then the developers, the ones who made those games were their Gods. This is basically the same. Only that the God Almighty can create real worlds with no one's help. He is the sole developer of these worlds. Even the ones who claimed to reach the pinnacle of these game worlds and attained Godhood were nothing but data in the developers' eyes, just like they are nothing in the Almighty's eyes. He won't be The Almighty if he can be challenged by His creations. So you do not need to worry unnecessarily. The one who gave you this 2nd life is the one who gave you life in the first place. Had he wanted you to die, he just had to think about it. Had he wanted this world to cease to exist, he simply had to will it. No one in this world controls you and even the Almighty himself doesn't have any intention to do so. He only made the worlds and will let the people in those worlds develop them because He wants to see how those worlds will change with all the different conditions he made from the beginning. Sometimes He wonders what will happen if He does this or that, and you are one of those wonders He is thinking of.]

Originally, you were supposed to slip on the sidewalk and fall on the road right when a truck passed by. You would die after getting your head run over by the truck. So your head would get squished, you died, and enter the reincarnation cycle.]

Jamie finally decided to live this life however he wanted to. Even if this was a plot and even if the God used him, he wouldn't be able to do anything right now anyway. Might as well live however he wanted and enjoy things here until his death comes.
Immortality? Power? Those weren't his main goals. What use was immortality and power if he couldn't enjoy his life? Sure, some power was needed to live well in this world, but it shouldn't be his goal.
In most of those Immortal Cultivation stories he read, the immortals mostly spent their lives alone in caves, or fighting dangerous foes with their lives on the line, or scheming against each other, only to die without even seeing half of the world's cuisines.
Instead of those immortals, the mortals seem to enjoy their lives more. Because they knew their lives were short, the mortals cherished every single day while the immortals wasted years.
Well, not all mortals were like that. Many also lived their lives in suffering or they lived stupidly, declaring war, killing each other, pursuing wealth that they couldn't keep forever because they would eventually die, and other useless things.
But for Jamie, whether he became an immortal or stayed a mortal, he would keep pursuing his happiness. For him, life was too precious to be wasted doing useless things.

Jamie finally put aside his Trust Issue. He couldn't enjoy this new life if he kept living while suspecting the system. It was too late anyway and the system was a part of himself now, so might as well use it to live well.
