Chapter 2 - Awakening

As the days turned into months, my power only grew. My control over demonic energy, spatial manipulation, and dragon aura became instinctual. Rudeus, ever eager to learn, poured his magic into me, trying to match my raw talent, while Roxy patiently guided both of us through the intricacies of mana and spellcasting. Our bond, forged in the fires of training and shared secrets, deepened into something unbreakable.

One evening, under the glow of a full moon, I felt an unfamiliar ripple in the air—a disturbance that didn't belong to this world. The draconic presence I sensed before was stronger now, almost calling out to me. I knew in my bones that Orsted, the Dragon God, was watching, and he wasn't pleased with my growing strength.

I stood atop the hill behind our house, my eyes scanning the horizon. The wind carried whispers of ancient power, and I could feel my own energy thrumming in response. It was time to test the limits of my abilities—and to prepare for whatever threat might come.

Suddenly, a shadow descended from the sky, coalescing into a towering figure cloaked in dark, shimmering scales. It was a dragon, but unlike any I had faced before. Its eyes burned with a cold intelligence, and its aura radiated pure, unfiltered menace.

The dragon spoke, voice echoing like a thunderclap. "Cain Greyrat. I have come to assess your strength. You claim to wield the power of a dragon, but can you truly control it?"

I clenched my fists, feeling the demonic energy surge within me. "I don't just claim," I said, voice steady. "I am the Dragon King's heir. And I will prove it."

The dragon roared, unleashing a torrent of flame that lit up the night sky. I didn't flinch. Instead, I summoned the Yamato's energy, weaving it into a barrier of spatial distortion that absorbed the flames. I pushed forward, channeling my demonic power into a concentrated burst—Judgement Cut—aimed directly at the beast.

The dragon staggered, stunned by my attack. But it recovered swiftly, eyeing me with newfound respect. "You are powerful, child. But true strength is not just raw power. It is mastery, control… and understanding your bloodline."

I stepped forward, eyes glowing with determination. "Then teach me. Show me how to become the true Dragon King."

The dragon hesitated, then nodded. "Very well. But remember, power comes with responsibility. The bloodline you carry is ancient and dangerous. If you are to wield it, you must be prepared for the consequences."

As the dragon vanished into the night, I felt a surge of resolve. I wasn't just a boy with cool tricks anymore. I was a future ruler of darkness and light, a protector, and a destroyer—everything this world might need.

The next day, I shared everything with Rudeus and Roxy. They listened intently, their faces a mixture of awe and concern. Roxy placed her hand on my shoulder. "Cain, your power is extraordinary. But remember, even gods have limits. Stay humble, and use your strength wisely."

Rudeus nodded fiercely. "We'll train harder. We'll become stronger together!"

And so, our journey continued. With my demonic energy, spatial mastery, and dragon heritage, I was destined to carve my path—one that would shake the foundations of this world and forge a new legend.

Because I am Cain Greyrat. And the world will never forget my name.
