Chapter 7 — Meeting Sona
León, seventeen, walked into the student council office alongside Le Fay, fifteen, and Theron, sixteen. The polished room was quiet, filled with the faint scent of old paper and ink. Behind the desk sat Sona, the student council representative, her expression calm as she noticed the three approaching.
León's sharp eyes flicked over her briefly, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. She's definitely got presence… he thought, though he kept his gaze polite outwardly.
"Good morning," Sona said smoothly, voice polite but firm. "How can I help you?"
León stepped forward with his usual quiet confidence, hands relaxed at his sides. "We're here to submit our applications to Kouh Academy. I'm León D. Nemea, and these are my companions, Le Fay and Theron."
Sona nodded without hesitation. "Very well. Please hand me your forms." She took the papers from them, reviewing them briefly before setting them aside.
As she worked, she began explaining the academy's system. "Kouh Academy operates on a semester schedule. Students are required to attend classes daily, follow the rules strictly, and participate in evaluations. There are clubs, practical courses, and optional training programs for those who wish to advance their skills."
León listened carefully, but his eyes wandered slightly, noticing the subtle curves of Sona's figure. He tilted his head, a faint, playful smirk tugging at his lips. Not bad… he thought, letting a little flirtation show in his tone. "Sounds like a very… organized place," he said smoothly, letting his eyes briefly meet hers with an almost teasing glint.
Le Fay, focused and oblivious to León's subtle wandering glance, nodded politely. "We're ready to learn and follow the rules of the academy," she said calmly.
Theron adjusted his stance, exuding quiet confidence. "We can handle whatever challenges are placed before us," he added simply, careful not to hint at the Spartan-trained strength hidden beneath.
Sona raised an eyebrow slightly, sensing his confidence, but didn't comment further. She finished her explanation, handing them copies of the rules and schedules. "That is everything for now. Welcome to Kouh Academy. Your classes will begin shortly."
León smirked faintly as he took the papers, another playful glance toward Sona. "Understood. I'll be sure to… enjoy the lessons," he said, tone casual but with a hint of teasing charm.
As they left the office, León's mind was already noting details—both about the academy and about the women who had caught his attention. Tsubaki was one he'd noticed earlier in the halls, another target for his subtle charm.
"Remember," León murmured quietly to Le Fay and Theron, "everyone here thinks we're ordinary. Keep it that way. And… keep an eye on the interesting ones," he added with a faint smirk.
Arthur returned from his search for work, completely unaware that the others had already submitted their applications—and that León's attention wasn't only on the academy rules.
