Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Training Plan

Chapter 11: Training Plan

Before he knew it, it was already noon.

Based on the physical data of Sakura Bakushin O collected in the morning, Kisei had compiled a training plan so detailed it was almost rigorous. From daily training items and intensity cycles to diet combinations and sleep schedules, it even included specific steps for pre-sleep relaxation.

After reviewing it repeatedly, he suddenly thought of something. He looked up, his gaze falling on Katsumi, who was flipping through documents across from him.

"Senior, I remember you mentioned before that you've been personally taking care of an Uma Musume's daily life and diet?" Kisei asked.

Katsumi looked up from the files and smiled. "Yes, that child is quite picky with food and never eats much of what's bought outside. Why do you ask?"

"Can you teach me how to cook?" Kisei pointed somewhat awkwardly at the computer in front of him. "I've created a customized meal plan. But honestly, I only understand nutritional ratios—I have no practical skills."

"Oh?" Katsumi put down her pen and leaned forward slightly. "Have you already signed an Uma Musume? Who is it?"

"Sakura Bakushin O. Have you heard of her, Senior?"

"I have a bit of an impression. Isn't she the one who won yesterday's simulation race?" Katsumi tapped her chin lightly with her fingertip, a glint of approval flashing in her eyes. "So this meal plan is specially designed for her?"

Kisei nodded. "Since I got my nutritionist license, I might as well put it to use. I'd feel more assured overseeing the diet myself."

"You really..." Katsumi shook her head with a laugh, her tone tinged with emotion. "If you get married someday, your wife will be truly fortunate. These days, there aren't many men willing to take cooking seriously."

Kisei took the opportunity to joke, "Then, Senior, would you like to consider it? Marry me now, and you can enjoy the benefits right away."

"Get lost." Katsumi shot him a glare, though a smile still played at the corner of her lips. "I'm not interested in younger guys, you're too young for me."

"What a shame." Kisei shrugged, feigning disappointment, then turned serious. "But seriously, can you teach me?"

"I can teach you, no problem." Katsumi crossed her arms, a hint of mischief flickering in her eyes. "But there's a condition."

"Name it." Kisei nodded. Even though they were old acquaintances, he knew well that favors were hard to repay—an equivalent exchange would be best.

"Make a meal plan for me too." Her smile deepened. "I just checked the updated information on the academy's official website. Physical Trainer, Physical Therapist, Nutritionist, Massage Therapist... so many certifications. I really don't know how you managed to pass them all."

Kisei was taken aback by her words.

Had the website information already been updated? He had just received his official Trainer license yesterday—the efficiency was almost too fast.

"So? Do we have a deal?" Katsumi pressed.

"Deal." Kisei collected his thoughts and agreed straightforwardly. "If it's convenient, Senior, could you send me the physical data and requirements of the Uma Musume you're responsible for later?"

"Quick and decisive." Katsumi smiled with satisfaction and was about to say something more when she was interrupted by Fumino, who had been quietly working nearby the whole time.

"Um..." Fumino looked up, her expression slightly hesitant. "If it's not too much trouble, could I also take a look at the meal plan Senior Hoshino makes?"

Her voice was soft, but her gaze was earnest. "An Uma Musume I know has been having some difficulties with weight management lately."

"Of course." Kisei readily agreed, "But everyone's situation is different, so it's best to make adjustments based on specific data. If convenient, please send me her data too—ideally bring her here for a personal checkup."

"The same goes for you, senpai—it would be best if you could bring the person over."

"Thank you." Fumino gave a slight nod.

"Okay, no problem!" Katsumi raised an eyebrow.

The midday bell rang through the academy outside the window. Kisei glanced at the time and packed his computer into his bag.

Training plans, diet charts, cooking lessons. The first day as an official Trainer seemed more fulfilling than expected.

...

After having lunch at the cafeteria, Kisei went to the student council room. The busy Symboli Rudolf only gave him five minutes to report.

"Polaris... your team name idea?"

"It was Bakushin O's suggestion."

"Not bad." Symboli Rudolf efficiently took out the official seal and stamped the document, "After the team is established, with your current Trainer rank, you can only sign up to three Uma Musume at most. If you want to expand the team size, produce results quickly."

"Understood." Kisei took the document with a firm tone, "Don't worry, Luna. Bakushin O and I are aiming for the Classic Triple Crown."

"The Classic Triple Crown isn't that simple." Symboli Rudolf looked up, a trace of amusement flashing in her golden eyes, "If you can actually achieve it, I'll grant you one condition."

"Any condition?" Kisei became interested.

"Only work-related ones." She promptly added.

"Then it's settled." Kisei stored the document properly. From this moment on, 'Team Polaris' was officially established, and they had their own activity room.

At three in the afternoon, the school dismissal bell echoed leisurely through the academy.

Kisei had cleaned the assigned activity room thoroughly in advance. The room wasn't large, but it was tidy and bright. A long table with several chairs stood in the center, with a whiteboard and filing cabinet against the wall. A small relaxation area was set up in one corner. He made himself a cup of coffee and sat at the table waiting quietly.

In less than twenty minutes, light footsteps sounded outside the door.

"Trainer-san--!"

The voice arrived before the person.

The activity room door opened as Sakura Bakushin O, already changed into her training clothes, peeked in, her bright eyes scanning the room.

"Wow~ Is this our activity room? It's cleaner than I imagined!" She put down her small backpack and circled the long table like a curious little animal, her fingers lightly brushing the smooth table surface.

Kisei set down his coffee cup and pushed a printed training list across the table: "This is the training menu for the next two weeks. Besides the fixed items, I'll make daily adjustments based on your condition."

Sakura Bakushin O took the list, her eyes carefully scanning from top to bottom. Gradually, an astonished expression appeared on her face.

The plan was astonishingly detailed—from morning heart rate monitoring to bedtime relaxation routines, from nutrient ratios for each meal to hydration timing, even listing clear indoor alternative training for different weather conditions.

"Trainer-san, did you just make this?" She looked up, her tone full of disbelief.

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"No, not at all!" Sakura Bakushin O quickly shook his head, carefully tucking the list into the inner pocket of his backpack. "I just thought... it's too professional."

"That's good." Kisei turned to the laptop and pulled up the digital version of the plan. "Starting today, we'll focus on strengthening your right limb, with the goal of achieving muscle balance between the left and right sides. Before that, the training intensity will be appropriately controlled to avoid placing extra strain on your body."

"I'll do my best!" Sakura Bakushin O straightened his posture, his eyes filled with determination.
