Chapter 2: The President's Power is Infinite!
Time flew by, a year and a half in the blink of an eye.
On this day, at a fast-food restaurant on the streets of Paris, France.
"Come on, come on~ I already said my flight is tonight, Luna, don't rush me."
"Alright, I'll pick you up tomorrow morning."
Click!
Kisei looked at his phone, shaking his head helplessly at the disconnected international long-distance call. Ever since becoming the president, Luna had grown busier and busier, to the point where she didn't even have time for phone calls anymore.
Feeling a bit resentful, he downed a cup of coffee in one gulp, grabbed his luggage, and left the fast-food restaurant.
...
The next day, 9 a.m., Narita International Airport, Tokyo.
"Little Kisei, over here, over here!!"
"Maruzensky, why is it you? Where's Rudolf?"
Just as he stepped out of the arrival gate, Kisei spotted Maruzensky holding up a sign.
"Rudolf had something come up this morning, so she asked me to pick you up."
"Oh, is that so?" Kisei's expression was subtle.
"What's with that tone? Is there a problem with me picking you up?!" Maruzensky demanded.
Kisei quickly shook his head and cautiously asked, "Maruzensky-nee, are we taking a taxi or the subway?"
"What do you mean? Is there something wrong with the car I drive?" Though Maruzensky was smiling, Kisei detected a hint of threat in her voice.
Hmph, Kisei sneered inwardly.
Maruzensky, 164cm tall, weighing 50 kg, with measurements B92-W58-H88.
An undefeated Uma Musume with a career record of 8 wins in 8 races, having left her opponents in the dust by a total of 61 horse lengths, earning her the nickname "Supercar."
But what left a deeper impression on Kisei was her reputation as the "Showa-era old driver!"
Not only was Maruzensky fast at running, but she was also fast at driving. It wasn't that her driving skills were bad—after all, she drove that fast without getting into accidents—but it wasn't that they were good either, as no one who had ever ridden in her car wanted to do it a second time.
Perhaps Rudolf had asked her to pick him up today as punishment for being away for over a year.
He resigned himself to his fate.
As Kisei got into Maruzensky's red supercar, he immediately fastened his seatbelt and tightly gripped the handle. His look of grim determination only annoyed Maruzensky further, and she stomped on the accelerator. With a roar, Kisei felt as though he had seen his great-grandmother.
...
At the entrance of Central Tracen Academy, numerous passing Uma Musume stopped in their tracks, curiously watching the man hunched over a trash can, vomiting as if the world were spinning.
Embarrassing, so embarrassing.
If I ever ride in her car again, I'm a dog!
Kisei swore silently. This wretched woman had left him at the entrance to make a fool of himself while she sped off with a stomp of the accelerator.
"Are you alright?"
A gentle voice came from behind. Kisei shook his dizzy head and turned around to see an Uma Musume with sapphire-blue eyes looking at him with concern and worry.
"I'm fine, just a bit carsick," Kisei managed to say.
"Carsick? I happen to have some motion sickness medicine here." The Uma Musume opened her small blue backpack and began rummaging through it.
Seeing this, Kisei quickly said, "No need, no need, I'm feeling much better already."
"Really? But you look really uncomfortable. Are you sure you're okay?" As she spoke, she took a bottle of water from her bag and handed it to him.
"Have some water."
"Thank you."
After drinking some water, he finally felt a bit better. Only then did Kisei snap back to reality and, looking at the Uma Musume before him, said, "My name is Hoshino Kisei. I'm a Trainer."
When she heard Kisei introduce himself as a Trainer, she covered her small mouth in surprise. "I'm Super Creek, from the junior high division. You're so young, Mr. Trainer."
"Is that so? Haha, actually, I became a central Trainer when I was just 16."
Praised by the cute Uma Musume, Kisei couldn't help but show off a little.
"Wow~ So you're a genius!"
Super Creek played along perfectly, her amazed exclamation greatly satisfying someone.
"Now now~ Let's keep it low-key. Come on, I'll treat you to ice cream," Kisei said.
"Huh? But I'm..."
"You're what?"
"Nothing, it's nothing." Super Creek lowered her head, inexplicably blushing.
Kisei looked at her strangely, unable to understand why she suddenly turned red.
But wow, she's really big!
A few minutes later, the two emerged from an ice cream shop near the academy entrance.
"Thank you, Mr. Trainer."
Small Creek extended her tongue to lightly lick the vanilla ice cream, instantly showing a satisfied expression.
"Don't mention it, it's my treat," Kisei said.
Just then, the phone in his pants pocket rang.
"Hello?"
"Where are you?!"
Even through the phone, Kisei could feel Rudolf's imposing pressure.
"I'm eating ice cream." The honest child didn't even know how to lie.
"You have five minutes!"
"Yes! President!"
After hanging up, Kisei stuffed the ice cream into his mouth and said vaguely to Small Creek: "I have to go now, see you next time."
Whoosh~
Like a gust of wind, Kisei disappeared from Small Creek's sight.
"Really, eating ice cream that fast will upset your stomach. Well, I'll tell him next time we meet."
Super Creek disapproved of Kisei's bold act of swallowing the ice cream in one go.
...
At the president's office, Kisei stood at the door.
"It's been a year and a half... I hope Luna isn't too angry."
Without knocking, Kisei gently opened the door like a thief, peeking through the crack only to immediately meet Rudolf's sharp gaze.
"Did the ice cream freeze your brain?"
"Hehe, Luna, long time no see." Kisei squeezed through the door.
"Stand right there!"
Just as he entered and closed the door, Kisei immediately stood at attention upon hearing the command.
Seeing Kisei's nervous appearance, Symboli Rudolf secretly felt pleased for three seconds.
"Tell me, what have you learned in this past year and a half," Symboli Rudolf said.
Hearing this, Kisei immediately showed a chrysanthemum-like smile, swiftly opened his suitcase, took out several small booklets and placed them on the desk, then sat down.
"Hmph."
Symboli Rudolf picked up the booklets one by one to examine them.
"Physical trainer, physical therapist, plus nutritionist and massage therapist. You've been quite productive this past year."
Looking at the four internationally certified qualifications in hand, Symboli Rudolf's inner surprise was understandable. Although she had known since childhood that this guy had strong learning abilities, this was just too impressive.
They say Uma Musume's physical abilities are three times that of humans, but could this guy's intelligence be three times that of an Uma Musume?
"Thanks to the President's permission, I'd like to sincerely thank..."
"Stop!"
Cutting off Kisei's antics in time, Symboli Rudolf took a certificate from the drawer: "This is your official Trainer certification, keep it safe."
"Mine? I haven't taken the independent guidance ability assessment yet."
"I assessed you, is that not acceptable?"
"...It's acceptable."
Kisei wouldn't dare say anything else. If Symboli Rudolf said it was acceptable, then it must be acceptable—that was the power of the Student Council President!
