Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

---Roy---

The feline army from Claw Kingdom wasted no time securing the Margay Tribe's holding in the name of thier King, hoisting up a brown leather banner with the ruler's claw marks, once Roy and his men had ambushed from the inside.

A few minutes later they erected Roy's banner, displaying a beautiful piece of stretched leather dyed in a magnificent shade of purple, with his claw marks. As one of the few Black Panther beastkin left, in addition to being the only 5-Star feline warrior, Roy was unanimously voted as the feline's representative in Claw Kingdom.

The Margay Tribe's land now belonged to Claw Kingdom's King. Yet, Roy had only completed half of his duties.

He still had to collect the pride of the Margays and take her to Claw Kingdom. It was time to collect the princess.

Roy let a small smile grace his lips. He couldn't wait for his duties to be over.

Once he had secured the unruly female they called the Pride of the Margays, he could focus on his prey. Be it male, female or beast, he was ready to get even.

---Eris---

A shiver ran down her spine. Eris felt all the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

Looking at the exhausted faces of her tribesmen, she hatched a new plan. One where they could send the a selected few back into their holding to rescue the others and the rest away to safety.

Taking a deep breath, she rummaged through the pile of furs, feathers and more. Eris was no prize, but she was definitely full of pride and she was ready to show the bastards of Claw Kingdom exactly that.

---Roy---

A search of the living quarters in the Margay chief's living quarters produced a handful of servants.

They were dragged outside and pushed into a tight circle right outside of the hut. Though the hut looked small, it was built at the front of a cave to expand living quarters, hiding elaborate rooms and tunnels within.

Roy gave a small nod of approval at the intelligence behind the architectural work, it was promising to see tribes moving forward and improve on the quality of life for all beastmen even in isolated areas.

Some tribes have now expanded to over 10,000 beastmen and built what they considered cities. Claw Kingdom, although only possessing 7500 beastmen, was considered a city and was well known for it's technological advances and warfare tactics.

Smaller tribes such as this, were still considered primitive, especially since they still built housing from wood and only having one species of beastkin, the Margays.

With new ideas and technologies, Roy felt a small tingling excitement bubble from within, anticipating all the changes he could make to upgrade the living standards of this holding.

After all, once conquered, the King had promised him these lands. To be lord of his own small domain.

Before he could lose himself in thought, his temporary second in command Bryant blurted out, "This one is an Elder. He worked closely with the Margay leader and told August all about the leader's family."

Shoving the frail old beastman towards Roy, in an act of arrogance and authority. Roy felt his brows knit in displeasure.

"I did not. I do not talk to strays." protested Otis. "I don't even know anyone named August. May the goddess strike me dead if withhold the truth."

The "faithful" elder of the tribe was lying of course, and he was feeling quite proud of himself. Not all possessed such courage.

He prayed silently that the goddess would forgive him for lying in such dire circumstances.

The old Margay male still hadn't looked up at the warrior who led the battle. He kept his attention to the overly eager young soldier who was trying to tear his clothes off his back.

"Yes you did!" countered Bryant. "He was the first warrior to take on the challenge of securing this holding and capturing your princess. Do not lie!"

"Is that the Leopard beastman who left with an arrow stuck to his backside?" asked Hacon, smirking.

Bryant glared at Hacon for daring to mention August's humiliation. He was a great warrior of Claw Kingdom.

Before the duo could continue arguing back and forth, another soldier stepped in to force Otis to turn around. Eyes widening, he now faced Roy.
