. Gopal and the Mango King
One hot summer day, Gopal saw a big, juicy mango tree full of ripe mangoes in the royal garden. The king had strictly ordered that no one should touch the mangoes without his permission.
But Gopal couldn't resist. He climbed the tree at night and ate almost all the mangoes!
Next morning, the king was furious and called Gopal to the court.
King: "Gopal! Who ate all my precious mangoes?"
Gopal (calmly): "Your Majesty, last night a big monkey came and ate them all."
King: "A monkey? How do you know?"
Gopal: "Because I was sitting on the tree guarding the mangoes... and that monkey looked exactly like me!"
The king laughed so hard that he forgave Gopal.
Moral (in Gopal style): When you're caught red-handed, blame it on a monkey who looks like you!
