Chapter 1 - new chapter

The night Alina was born, the sky did not bless the kingdom — it trembled.

Thunder roared over the royal palace of Aaryavara. Rain poured like the heavens were crying. Inside the queen's chamber, a baby girl entered the world with a silent breath… and a silver crescent mark glowing faintly on her forehead.

The royal astrologer fell to his knees.

"Your Majesty… she is Moonborn."

The king's face turned pale.

In Aaryavara, the Moonborn were not celebrated. They were feared. Legends said they carried ancient power — power strong enough to either save the kingdom… or shatter it.

The queen held her newborn close, tears mixing with sweat.

"She is just a child," she whispered. "She is my daughter."

But fear is louder than a mother's love in a kingdom ruled by prophecy.

That same night, the king made a decision that would haunt him forever.

The baby was wrapped in soft white cloth and secretly taken beyond the palace walls. No royal jewels. No golden cradle. Only a small silver locket placed around her tiny neck — the queen's last gift.

The soldier who carried her did not have the heart to leave her in the forest. Instead, he placed her at the doorstep of a poor widow in a small village.

The widow, Mira, had lost her husband and her own child years ago.

When she opened the door and saw the baby glowing faintly under the moonlight, she froze.

Then the baby gripped her finger.

And Mira's empty heart filled again.

"I don't know who you are," she whispered softly, "but you are mine now."

She named her Alina.

21 Years Later

Alina grew up in poverty but never in loneliness.

Mira worked day and night, stitching clothes and cooking for others. Alina helped her in everything. She loved her mother deeply — not knowing she was not her birth mother.

But Alina was different.

When she cried, the wind grew restless.

When she felt anger, shadows trembled.

When Mira once fell sick, Alina held her hand all night — and by morning, the fever disappeared.

The village people sometimes stared at her.

Some whispered.

But Mira always stood in front of her.

"She is my daughter," she would say firmly.

And that was enough.

💔 The Emotional Twist

One evening, royal soldiers arrived in the village.

They were searching for the Moonborn.

Alina didn't understand why their eyes stopped on her.

But Mira did.

She had always known.

The silver locket.

The strange glow.

The night she found her.

Mira hugged Alina tightly.

"No matter what happens," she whispered, "you are not a curse. You are my greatest blessing."

For the first time in her life, Alina felt afraid.

Not for herself.

But for the only mother she had ever known.
