Synopsis
After years of silence, he returns. When the quiet and reserved Arin transfers to a new high school, he never expects to come face to face with the one person he tried so hard to forget—Ruhan, his childhood best friend. They were inseparable once. Until one sudden goodbye changed everything. Now, Ruhan acts like nothing ever happened. Like the promises under the sunset meant nothing. Like the day they were torn apart never existed. But Arin remembers. Between stolen glances, unspoken tension, and a past neither of them is ready to confront, old feelings begin to resurface. Some bonds never fade. No matter how much you try to bury them. Will this reunion heal old wounds… or reopen scars that never truly closed?

The Transfer Student

Chapter 1 – The New Arrival

The classroom was filled with noise.

Some students were laughing loudly, some were rushing to complete their homework at the last minute. The teacher was writing something on the board, but no one seemed interested enough to stay quiet.

Then suddenly—

BANG!

The classroom door swung open with a loud crash.

The entire class fell silent in an instant. Even the teacher flinched, the chalk nearly slipping from his fingers.

All eyes turned toward the door.

A tall boy stood there.

The new transfer student.

The teacher cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Hello, everyone… This is Li. His full name is Li Shan."

Whispers spread across the classroom.

Li Shan didn't say a word. His sharp gaze slowly scanned the room before he stepped inside. There was something unusual about the way he walked—calm, confident… almost intimidating.

The teacher pointed toward the last bench.

"You can sit there."

At the back of the class sat Ni—the class topper. He was quietly arranging his books, his expression calm but his eyes reflecting a hint of curiosity.

Li Shan stopped beside him.

"Hey, topper… mind if I sit here?" he asked with a faint smile.

Ni hesitated for a moment, then quickly moved his books and bag aside.

"Y-Yes… sure," he replied softly.

Li Shan sat down next to him.

For a few seconds, silence settled between them.

Then suddenly—

Ni's pencil slipped from his fingers and rolled under the bench.

And as he bent down to pick it up…

Neither of them knew that this small moment was about to change everything.
