Chapter 2 - The Life story of Hazrat Rahima (RA)

Hazrat Rahima (RA) is remembered in Islamic tradition as a woman of patience, faith, and unwavering loyalty. Though historical details about her life are not as widely recorded as some other prominent figures, her story carries deep spiritual lessons for believers.

Early Life and Marriage

Hazrat Rahima (RA) lived in ancient times and is widely known as the devoted wife of Prophet Ayyub (AS), who is also known in the Bible as Job. She was born into a noble and righteous family. From a young age, she was known for her modesty, kindness, and strong belief in Allah.

She married Prophet Ayyub (AS), a man blessed with wealth, health, children, and high status among his people. Their life was once full of comfort and happiness. However, Allah tests those whom He loves, and soon their lives changed dramatically.

The Great Test

Prophet Ayyub (AS) was tested with severe illness. He lost his wealth, his livestock, and even his children. His once-healthy body became weak and covered with painful disease. Many people abandoned him due to fear and misunderstanding.

During this extremely difficult time, Hazrat Rahima (RA) stood firmly beside her husband. She did not complain or lose hope. Instead, she became his caretaker. She worked tirelessly to earn food and medicine for him. Sometimes she even sold her belongings and sacrificed her own comfort to support him.

Her patience (Sabr) and faith (Iman) became an example for all believers. She never questioned Allah's wisdom. She trusted that Allah's mercy would eventually come.

Her Sacrifice and Loyalty

One of the most touching parts of her story is her deep loyalty. Despite facing poverty and social isolation, she never left her husband. She would clean his wounds, feed him, and pray for his recovery. Even when people mocked them, she remained patient.

There are narrations that during one of the hardest times, she even cut and sold her hair to buy food. This shows the depth of her sacrifice and love.

Allah's Mercy and Reward

After years of suffering, Prophet Ayyub (AS) prayed sincerely to Allah for relief. Allah answered his prayer and restored his health, wealth, and family. The couple was rewarded for their patience and faith.

Hazrat Rahima (RA) was honored for her dedication. Her story teaches that hardship is temporary, but faith and patience bring eternal reward.

The life of Hazrat Rahima (RA) gives us powerful lessons:
