Chapter 8 - 8

Collecting his clothes was not anything complicated. His mother was slightly worried about his near-naked status and the various bruises forming on him, but oddly enough they did not look as bad as he felt. So she accepted him coming home near naked as just another quirk from Tsuna being who he was.

Reborn waited downstairs, eating the food his mother offered as soon as they arrived. Tsuna almost let out a sigh at that. When Tsuna asked his mother if this baby could stay with them, she did not even blink before accepting.

He wanted to blame whatever Reborn did to her earlier for her strangeness, but his instincts told him that was one hundred percent his mother's decision. Tsuna really needed to make his mother a bit more guarded against people. This world was dangerous.

She was the type to count the money as she helped someone sell her. His deadbeat father managed to trick her into a marriage without telling her the danger she was being put in by being his wife. Another reason to beat his father half to death.

Tsuna let out a deep sigh and decided to put those thoughts to sleep for now. He got dressed and ripped the ticket he earned from Haru. The reason he got this ticket brought another goofy smile to his face for a moment.

[Novice Fine Arts]

|Common Skill|

You are a novice artist, someone who pursues fine arts, having a beginner level of skill in most arts such as Painting, Engraving, Sketching, Sculpting, etc., and in general have some skill in making things more aesthetically pleasing. But it would be a stretch to call you a real artist.

Tsuna winced as the knowledge was forced into his head and his limbs twitched as instincts were woven into muscle memory. As he rubbed his head, he looked over at what he got from the roll.

It was not going to help him in a fight, but at least it was better than being able to sweat on command. Tsuna also felt great about having a skill worth praising. He did not know what the Chaos Gacha considered novice, but his ability to draw and mold art into reality impressed Tsuna deeply.

That might speak more about his ignorance than the actual skill level given to him, but Tsuna still felt happy about this skill.

He was tempted to try out his new skill, but he was already late. So he headed down to go toward school again. He let out a sigh as he caught sight of Reborn sitting at the table with coffee steaming in front of him, snacking on some cookies his mother brought out.

How in god's name did Reborn convince his mother to give coffee to a toddler?

"Heading out to school. You following along or staying here, Reborn?" Tsuna asked blandly. He was still tense about leaving Reborn around his mother, but he was confident Reborn was a man of his word, and having this monster around his mother would ironically increase her safety.

The toddler dog-walked him, and Tsuna was confident on taking out a team of Navy SEALs at this point.

Reborn gave him a small grin and gestured for him to head out.

"You can head out. I'll catch up. It's rare to find a good cup of coffee in this country," Reborn spoke out smugly as he picked up his coffee and took a small sip. Tsuna rolled his eyes at the creature and left.

Judging by how easily Reborn handled him, that thing could catch up to Tsuna in a blink of an eye if he wanted. Tsuna's analogy of Reborn being a natural disaster was rather apt.

As he strolled his way toward his school, he thought about his plans. With Reborn arriving in his life, the actions he thought out were no longer relevant. Joining the karate club and dominating it to gain Martial Tickets and increasing his grades seemed so very pointless.

Sure, they would still be worth the effort, but he gained a silver and gold ticket for just impressing Reborn. That meant gathering Tickets in the supernatural world was a whole ass load easier. Tsuna was just not willing to deal with the risks that world presented when he had the opportunity to lay low.

Reborn waltzing into his life taught him that he could not have that time.

The question was what he should do with that information. As much as he tried, he could not figure out what he should be doing right now. This was something he needed Reborn to figure out properly.

That creature was supposed to tutor him, so answering the challenges and questions he had about this world was normal.

Once more he was greeted with the familiar closed gate to his school, but instead of the usual gate guard, Hibari-senpai was resting at the booth with a sleepy expression on his face.

Tsuna tensed. The old man may look down on him, but he would let Tsuna in without a hassle. If Hibari was at the gate, though, things grew a whole lot more complicated. Tsuna had never gotten in when Hibari was at the gate, too scared to approach the maniac.

He hesitated, not because he feared the madman but because gathering his attention would be a pain in the ass. Hibari was someone who fought and fought until there were no more fights to be fought.

Beating the demon of Namimori might be worth a good ticket, but he would have to deal with Hibari hounding him for the rest of his life. Before he could decide what to do, Hibari noticed him and examined him coldly before snorting.

"Get inside, herbivore," Hibari ordered and went back to his impromptu nap. Tsuna narrowed his eyes and felt insulted. Sure, he did not want to deal with the madman either, but having him dismiss him grated on Tsuna's narrow pride.

"You going to let him talk to you like that? You are the future head of the Vongola Family. Are you going to let a Yakuza brat push you around?" Reborn asked from Tsuna's side. Tsuna tensed as the toddler suddenly appeared.

He knew Reborn was going to show up eventually, but having the creature pop out of nowhere was still shocking. He looked down at Reborn with a frown. Hibari was apparently related to the Yakuza, and Reborn was baiting him.

He did not want to be manipulated by Reborn.

Before he could say anything, Hibari stood up sharply from his position, his chair sliding and hitting the ground from his sudden movement. Hibari looked at Reborn with a gleam in his eye and a sharp smile on his face.

"Oi! Baby, fight me!" Hibari demanded as he picked up his tonfa and wielded them expertly. Tsuna almost let out a snort. See, this was why he did not want to get involved with Hibari.

That man only knew two things: fighting and sleeping. Tsuna was half convinced his dreams were filled with more fighting.

Tsuna then froze as he read intentions from Reborn. That insidious asshole looked from Hibari to Tsuna with a small smirk on his face, the type of look someone wore when they were about to be an asshole.

"No, you don't deserve to face me yet, little beast. But if you defeat my student Tsuna here, then I'll humor you," Reborn offered with a grin and gleam in his eyes. Tsuna cursed as he saw this coming. He turned toward Hibari with a wary expression.

Hibari narrowed his eyes at Reborn before looking at Tsuna and letting out a scoff.

"You want me to beat the herbivore? Why bother? That thing won't even last a minute," Hibari spat out, and Tsuna bristled at that comment. His own pride was starting to itch. Maybe beating up this idiot was worth the hassle of having Hibari harass him.

"Too inexperienced, little beast. You can't even tell my young pupil has a pair of fangs that would devour you whole. Just because something looks harmless does not mean it is," Reborn reprimanded with an exaggerated disappointed tone.

Tsuna wanted to punt the asshole.

"Shut up, Reborn," Tsuna hissed at the toddler before facing Hibari with a tight smile. "Don't mind me. Fight this dickhead if you want. I surrender." Tsuna offered. Both of these assholes irritated him, but Reborn wanted this fight to happen, so he would rather mess with Reborn than punch out his irritation on Hibari.

Hibari narrowed his eyes and did not even bother looking back at Reborn to see if he would accept Tsuna's words.

"You better grit your teeth, herbivore. This is going to hurt," Hibari spat out as he dashed forward, not even listening for a second. Tsuna let out a deep sigh and rolled his eyes. Idly kicking at Reborn to try to get some revenge, but the little shit had already jumped onto the school wall to watch the bout.

Tsuna faced Hibari with a bored look on his face. Sure, the demon of Namimori was fast, crossing into the border of human limits, but he was very much still in the human category.

So as Hibari approached Tsuna with his tonfa swung out to break his jaw, he dodged effortlessly. His jaw grazed past the tonfa as he tilted his head ever so slightly. Hibari narrowed his eyes at Tsuna, suddenly very interested in what Tsuna represented.

Hibari was already shifting his stance into something more stable, but Tsuna was already moving, stepping into his guard and taking the instinctive strike Hibari swung with his hand. That blow would have broken his arm before, but now it barely tickled. The iron like nature of his bones made it impossible.

Once he was in Hibari's guard, he kneed Hibari in the stomach as hard as he could, using Time Accel briefly to make sure Hibari could not weasel out of this strike.

To give Hibari credit, he did not collapse from the vicious strike and was already primed to attack back, but Tsuna's hand had arrived behind Hibari's neck and swung in a sharp knife hand, hitting a point in his neck that his instincts told him would force Hibari into unconsciousness.

Even then Hibari did not go out instantly. He gripped onto Tsuna, his fingers felt like iron as he tried to do something, rip or tear into the muscles underneath his grip but he did not have enough in the tank to do anything as he slipped into nap time.

Tsuna then let out a sigh and guided Hibari's body toward the booth and settled him in the chair he was sleeping in before.

He then looked over at Reborn with a glare on his face.

"Did you really have to instigate him? You knew he was no match for me. You fought me. You know exactly how strong I am," Tsuna spat out with an annoyed look.

His attention briefly went away from the baby as the Chaos Gacha responded to his actions.

[Feat Achieved: Defeat Hibari!]

[Received one Silver Ticket.]

[Feat Achieved: Have Hibari's undivided attention!]

[Received one Silver Ticket.]

He was happy about the new ticket, but he could already see the hassle that was going to come after him.

Reborn let out a chuckle and gave him a curious look.

"Of course. The boy has potential, and the easiest way to get him in your orbit would be to fight. Although you surprised me. I thought your fighting would be a lot more bloodthirsty, but you were rather soft with him, even gentle. That killing intent you were throwing around endlessly did not even rise for a moment," Reborn spoke out as if he was reexamining what he knew about Tsuna.

Tsuna blinked at that and let out a chuckle, not bothering to correct the misconception Reborn had about him. Tsuna was dealing with a whole lot more aggression from the Hanma trait, but he had a peaceful nature most times.

Idiots gained his ire and maybe a beating, but they had to be a big idiot for Tsuna to care about them. Hell, Reborn might have fallen into this category if he approached Tsuna in any other fashion, but since he messed with his mother, all kid gloves were off.
