After two long years full of problems and uncertainty, finally our SSC examination began.
The date was 10th April. The first exam was English.
There was tension on everyone's face that morning.
After searching for a while, I finally found my exam room. Finding my seat wasn't that difficult since my friends were already there.
As soon as I entered the room, I noticed that girls from another school were sitting beside us.
I've always felt a little nervous talking to girls.
My seat was towards the inner side of the room, so I had to politely ask the girl sitting beside me to let me pass.
And that's when I saw her for the first time.
"Saw" wouldn't be the right word—
it felt like my eyes just stopped there.
Her seat was right behind mine.
From the outside, I tried to act completely normal,
but inside, something felt different.
I don't know why, but I suddenly wanted to talk to her.
In an exam hall, students usually talk a little for understanding—simple introductions, small conversations.
I was thinking about how I could start a conversation with her…
But surprisingly,
before I could say anything, she started talking to me first.
I was a little shocked.
My nervousness slowly disappeared.
We introduced ourselves.
I learned her name.
A few small talks, a soft smile…
And somehow, those small moments started feeling very big to me.
Even after coming back home from the exam, I couldn't stop thinking about her.
I kept asking myself—
how can someone take a place in your heart in such a short time?
But what I didn't know then was—
while I was thinking about her,
her heart already belonged to someone else.
