Chapter 234 - Chapter 234 Divine Arrow An Gai

The Mountain held a gold coin in one hand and a hammer in the other, his eyes fixed on the king.

Prime Minister Ed said, "Let Robert go! A conflict would only further tarnish the royal family and the tournament."

Robert flew into a rage and roared, "Get the Mountain out of here!"

Clang clang clang!

The garrison and the Imperial Guards retreated, sheathing their longswords.

Demon Mountain snorted angrily, picked up the gold coins, and strode away.

The supervising officials led the King's Landing garrison into the arena to clear away the dead and wounded. The on-site historian recorded that twenty-three people died in this tournament, several of them torn to pieces, their muscles and bones twisted and deformed. They were all killed by the Mountain's giant hammer.

The Mountain killed most of the twenty-three people.

Leaving aside the wounded, almost every participant in the siege of the Mountain was injured, with eleven seriously wounded or crippled. The historian went to Clegane's tent to inquire about Zerek's condition and learned that Zerek was not dead yet, but whether she would die later was unknown to the historian, Jenny, and the royal maester in charge of her treatment. Therefore, he included Zerek in the list of seriously wounded or crippled.

This group casualty figure surpasses the death toll of the most devastating group combat tournament in history centuries ago, exceeding the previous record of twenty-one deaths by two. However, in terms of impact, the historical group combat tournament remains profoundly significant and irreplaceable!

The number of people watching the archery competition on the second day was drastically reduced, with only a few hundred people attending.

All the royal courtiers were present; they had to give face to the King and the Prime Minister.

Sansa and Sister Mordan did not return; they were still haunted by the Mountain massacre of the previous day.

In the archery finals, the final four archers were Julie Clegane, the little witch; Baron Swin from Stonehelm in the Dorne frontier, who had challenged the Mountain in a jousting tournament; Anga, a commoner from the frontier; and Jalabar Zol, dressed in the dark as night.

Jalabar Thal was a wandering prince from the Summer Isles in the southern sea. He came to King Robert to request that he send troops to the Summer Isles to help him reclaim his territory, Pleasantvale. King Robert was hesitant; he desired the glory of conquering the Summer Isles, yet he did not want his soldiers to pay the ultimate price for someone else's throne. King Robert was Jalabar's hope for restoring his kingdom, and so Prince Jalabar remained in King's Landing. He was a prince who had been exiled.

In the head-to-head battle, Little Witch Julie lost to Baron Sven, while Jalabar Sol lost to Angay.

The final championship match was between Anguil and Baron Sven.

In the 100-pace shooting final, Angay defeated Baron Sven to win the championship.

Baron Sven was granted an official position by King Robert for his outstanding marksmanship and archery skills, becoming a general in the royal court. He served the king closely and was qualified to participate in state affairs at the Iron Throne.

Prince Jalabah Thor also became a courtier of King Robert, and like Balon Sven, he received a military rank under the Iron Throne.

Archery champion Ange was noticed by the King, Prime Minister Ed, the Knight of Flowers, and Edmure, among other nobles, all of whom extended offers to recruit him. Prime Minister Ed sent his captain of the guard, Jori Caesar, to persuade Ange to serve under him in a position he desired.

—But the boy had just won the competition, receiving flowers, applause, honor, and an unimaginable fortune: ten thousand gold dragons. The commoner boy, suddenly rich, forgot his true identity—a lowly commoner from the borderlands—he refused the king's officials, the Hand of the Prime Minister's captain of the guard, Duke Renly, and the Knight of Flowers. He also refused the personal invitation from Earl Edmure Tully, as well as all other invitations from other high-ranking nobles. That very night, Angui arrived at the most famous brothel in King's Landing: Sataya Brothel, with ten thousand gold coins.

The most luxurious, famous, and high-class brothel in King's Landing is not Littlefinger's brothel, but Sataya's brothel in the Upper Rise of Renesas Hills.

King's Landing is a city built on three hills. The Red Keep, the king's stronghold, sits atop Aegon's Hill, overlooking the Blackwater River, the Tournament, and the harbor. Aegon's Hill is named after the conqueror Aegon Targaryen, who lived three hundred years earlier. Aegon had two wives, his sisters Rhaenys Targaryen and Visonia Targaryen. The hill to the right of Aegon's Hill is called Rhaenys Hill, and the hill to the left is called Visonia Hill.

The most famous building on Aegon Hill is the Red Keep, the center of power for the Seven Kingdoms!

The Hills of Visenia have three famous buildings: the Cathedral of St. Beller with its marble walls and seven crystal towers stand atop the Hills of Visenia; the famous Iron Street and the blacksmith shop of weapons master Tob Mot are located in the middle of the Hills of Visenia; and at the foot of the Hills of Visenia is another famous building: the Pyromancer Guild.

There are also three famous buildings on Rhea's Hill. The first is the 'Dragon's Lair' built by the Targaryen royal family on the top of the hill to raise dragons. It is now in ruins, and its bronze gate has been closed for a century and a half since the death of the last dragon.

The second famous building is: the flea nest!

The narrow streets and alleys of Flea Hollow were like a maze, crowded with beggars and the poorest people in the city; Polliver's wife Esther and her grandfather Booz had sold the famous 'brown soup' on the streets of Flea Hollow.

The third famous building is located behind Flea Nest, where most of King's Landing's nobles and wealthy people reside. This area is also known as King's Landing's upper district: a luxurious villa district with various architectural styles.

In this upper district, there was a place that King Robert frequented most: Sataya's brothel.

*

The first thing Ange, the young archer from the Dornish frontier, did after winning 10,000 gold dragon coins was to go to the upper district behind Renis Hills and swagger into Sataya's brothel.

On the first night, Angai spent three hundred gold coins to take a milk bath and enjoy the tenderness of two women.

On the second night, Angai spent five hundred gold dragons to enjoy the brothel's finest bathing service: bathing in wine from the world's most famous Qingting Island, and enjoying the intoxicating companionship of two exotic girls.

From then on, Anga lived and ate at Sataya's brothel until he was kicked out by the brothel's owner.

When Angai woke up from his drunken stupor, he found himself lying on the street, penniless except for a longbow.

But the boy was not discouraged. He remembered that the King, the Prime Minister, the Duke of Renly, the Knight of Flowers, the Earl of Edmure, and others had all told him that if he wanted, he could go to them and they would give him a position that would satisfy him.

But the first person Angey thought of seeking out was the sergeant who had lost to him in the archery four-man final: Baron Swin. Baron Swin, like him, came from the frontiers of Dorne, a fact that made him feel a sense of kinship. Baron had once come to the brothel to see him, hoping that Angey would join him as a general serving the king in the royal court.

Now Angai has nothing but a bow and no arrows. He feels it's time to find a respectable job! And the most respectable job, of course, is to serve the king as a royal guard.

With his longbow on his back, Ange walked out of the upper district, turned into a small alley, and went down the alley, past the crossroads of the Flea Nest, and onto the Silent Sisters Street, which was the main road to the Red Fort.

As Angai walked to the other end of the alley, a carriage with its curtains drawn pulled up and stopped. Inside sat a smiling man: "Hey, Angai, I've been waiting for you here for ages! Get in!"

Ange recognized the man; he was from the Mountain, a knight named Sweetmouth Ralph. He immediately turned around, but suddenly stopped. In the alley, two men holding scabbards were staring at him menacingly. One of them was a very tall, bald man whose right cheek was twitching, and his gaze was like a nail.

Ange stiffened and had no choice but to turn around to face the smiling sweet mouth. Just as he was about to say a few words to bolster his courage, the curtain was lifted, and a short crossbow was pointed at him. It was Julie, the little witch who terrified Ange: "Get in the car, or you'll die!"

The little witch pulled the trigger of the crossbow! Her fingers touched the bolt!
