Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 Marriage

Yi Ge uttered a few Dothraki syllables that no one could understand, and the Arak scimitar in his hand fell to the ground with a clang, startling everyone nearby who was completely stunned once again.

The people living in the flea-infested area have all seen fights and brawls, with white knives going in and red knives coming out, but they have never seen such a ruthless person.

The power of this sword strike seemed to contain the deep-seated hatred of generations.

However, the bald, black-bearded man who had delivered such a vicious blow showed no sign of malice on his face. Instead, he grinned and, gripping the hilt of his sword with one hand, tapped Yi Ge's forehead repeatedly with his little finger, laughing as he said, "What is this Blood Opera Troupe? Pour it down, pour it down, pour it down, pour it down for me!"

boom!

Yi Ge fell backward, his eyes wide open. Although he was dead, his body's functions continued to twitch instinctively, causing his body to spasm and convulse. Even when the heart stops beating, the body's primal functions continue to linger for a while before complete death.

Esther and her grandson, Buzz, were stunned and breathless.

Polliver remained calm, drew his longsword, wiped the blood off the blade on Yigo's corpse, sheathed the sword, took out a black object, put it in his mouth and blew on it—beep!

A very sharp iron whistle rang out, with extremely high penetrating power, something the people of King's Landing had never heard before.

Soon, a carriage came galloping from the other end of the street. The driver was highly skilled, and the carriage came to a sudden stop in front of Polliford, demonstrating the driver's extraordinary horsemanship.

Polliver reached out and picked up Esther, throwing her onto the carriage. Grandpa Buz was shocked and at a loss. He opened his mouth to shout for help, but no sound came out. Polliver laughed and said, "Old man, are you going to stay here and have your hands and feet chopped off by the Blood Troupe, or are you coming with us?"

"…You…I don't know you…" Old man Buz instinctively stepped back.

Inside the carriage, Esther's mouth was covered, her screams stopped, and one of her legs, which was sticking out of the carriage, was pulled into the carriage curtain.

Polliver's right cheek twitched spasmodically, a sign of his heightened excitement. He picked up the Arak scimitar and removed the scabbard from Yigo's body. At the same time, the wide carriage curtain was pulled open, and a man who clearly wasn't a good person jumped off, grabbed the old man Buz around the waist without a word, ran a few steps, and threw him onto the carriage with a thud.

The elderly man felt as if his back was almost broken, and the pain was excruciating.

"...Who...who are you...what do you want..." the old man managed to say, his voice strained through the pain.

However, no one answered him, and no one paid him any attention. The soldier jumped into the vehicle and roughly shoved the old man inside.

Polliver, wielding his Arak scimitar, pointed at a dozen or so stall owners, their faces pale and jaws agape in disbelief: "You, drag this corpse to the street corner." He kicked Yigo's body, "Throw it into the rubbish heap. Remember my name, I come from the Shield Islands of the Southern River Reef, I am Ellen Green, a knight of the Green family of Gray Shield Island." Polliver laughed heartily, leaped onto the carriage, and scurried into the curtains like a cat.

Even after the carriage disappeared from sight, the dozen or so stall owners and the onlookers in the distance remained motionless.

Looking at Yi Ge's corpse on the ground, they knew they were in deep trouble.

The Blood Opera Troupe was not to be trifled with, but their opponent seemed even more formidable. With a single sword strike, they killed Yi Ge, a member of the Blood Opera Troupe. Although Yi Ge was caught off guard, the ruthlessness and speed of that sword strike were unlike anything anyone had ever witnessed before.

A large, luxurious carriage set off from Flea Street, sped forward, left Flea Street, and turned left onto the city's main avenue—Silent Sisters Street.

At the end of the Silent Nuns Street lies Triumph Square, the central intersection of the city's four main avenues.

The carriage passed through Triumph Square, turned right, and opposite was the imposing gate of the famous Alchemists' Guild, inside which lived pyromancers who specialized in the study of wildfire substances.

The carriage sped onto another major city avenue—the Avenue of the Gods. Passing the already bustling Shoemaker's Square, the coachman cracked his whip, propelling the two horses forward straight out of the Gate of the Gods. Not far from the Gate of the Gods, the avenue connected to the famous Golden Avenue.

At the edge of the woods at the crossroads of the Golden Road, the Mountain and eight burly horsemen awaited the carriage. Among the horsemen were two men with obvious scars on their faces: Master Blacksmith Tob Mott and Blacksmith Apprentice Gendry. The two looked dejected, seemingly having been thoroughly beaten by the Mountain and his men, and finally becoming obedient.

The carriage stopped, the curtain was drawn back, and Polliver jumped down. The horseman who was driving the carriage and a horseman inside the carriage also dismounted and paid their respects to Gregor Clegane.

"Lord Gregor, Miss Esther and old man Booz have arrived." Polliver knelt on one knee, paying homage to the high and mighty Gregor Clegane.

Gregor nodded: "Polliver, not bad, you got Master Booz here so quickly." Gregor raised his right hand slightly, and Polliver and the two cavalrymen stood up.

Polliver said with a grin, "Sir, little Esther has already had her period."

"Oh, you've already asked her?"

"Yes, sir. She became a woman last month."

"Okay, do you like her?"

"My lord, if you want me to marry her, then I will marry her," Pollifer laughed. "I am a knight, and she is a commoner. She is the one who should feel unworthy of me."

Gregor snorted, and the ten cavalrymen burst into laughter.

Blacksmith Tob Mott and Gendry were both furious but dared not speak out.

Gregor drew his longsword, which felt as light as a twig in his hand. He used the sword to lift the curtain of the carriage, where a little girl named Esther was clinging tightly to her grandfather, Booz.

Gregor said, "Little Esther, Master Booz, don't be afraid. I am Gregor Clegane, and this is Knight Polliver Clegane. Esther's father has betrothed her to Knight Polliver, and this is his betrothal decree. Take a look." Gregor took out a piece of parchment from his pocket. "Master Booz, can you read?"

The latest novels are first published on 69shuba!

Buz nodded.

"Alright, Polliver, show Butt's letter to Master Butz."

Polliver took the letter and tossed it onto the old man. The parchment slipped from the old man's body and fell into the carriage.

"Polliver, don't be disrespectful to the elderly. After you and Esther get married, Master Booz will be your grandfather."

"Uh, okay." Polliver jumped into the car, picked up the parchment letter, and handed it to Buz.

Buz took it, looked at it, and remained silent.

"Old man, don't blame your son But. He gambled at the arena run by Fang and Rolger and lost a lot of money. Fang was about to bite his neck off. I went and paid off his gambling debts."

The old man and the little girl were speechless, their eyes brimming with tears, completely bewildered.

Gregor continued, "Old man Booz, Polliver Clegane is a knight of the Clegane family. He is loyal, highly skilled in martial arts, and never treats his own people badly. If you also agree to this marriage, I will bring you and Esther to live in Clegane Village, and then Esther and Polliver will be married in the Seven Saints' Temple. From then on, you will be my family and elder, and Esther will be my sister-in-law."

"If you don't approve of this marriage, I'll have Pollifer rape Esther right here and now, and then we'll take you to Clegane Castle by carriage to get married. Old man, do you agree or disagree with this marriage? Make your decision."

The old man glanced at the eager Pollyfo, then at his frail granddaughter, and nodded mechanically.

Gendry, the blacksmith's apprentice, bulged the veins in his neck and stared wide-eyed, yet dared not utter a word of anger. Though he possessed strength, any one of the cavalrymen around him could easily kill him.
