Damian nodded his head very fast.
Ho-Oh's eyes moved. Its heart felt heavy. It had a bad feeling since it saw the Shiny Mega Rayquaza on the other side.
It did not think this human was being serious.
"I cannot do this."
Ho-Oh decided to leave right away. It thought this was a joke.
Even though it was Ho-Oh, it was not too proud to fight a Shiny Mega Rayquaza. It was even a shiny one.
It thought that was crazy. Ho-Oh really thought this human was doing this on purpose.
"No, you can do it."
Damian looked at Ho-Oh. The bird was about to turn and leave. Damian felt a little surprised.
This Ho-Oh was too afraid.
"Ho-Oh, you promised me. As long as it is not against your will, you must agree to what I ask."
"Human! This is already completely against my will!" Ho-Oh said. It was angry. It thought this human was very brave to say that.
"That is a Shiny Mega Rayquaza. You want me to fight it? What are you trying to do?"
Ho-Oh sent many messages very fast using telepathy.
"We have a chance. Trust me."
"I refuse. Goodbye."
Ho-Oh wanted to leave.
Damian saw this and had to use his best trick. He made Ho-Oh feel guilty.
"Ho-Oh, you kidnapped my little brother!"
"I will give you something to make up for it, but you cannot force me like this, right?"
Ho-Oh's mind stopped for a moment. Its voice sounded very frustrated and sad.
"You kidnapped my little brother!"
"You! Human, even if I help you, how are we supposed to beat it?!" Ho-Oh's mind was starting to break.
"You kidnapped my little brother!"
Dammit!!
Ho-Oh could not take it anymore. It looked at Damian.
"Fine! I will help you!"
After being angry, Ho-Oh agreed. It felt like it had no choice.
It could not just fly back to Kanto. It felt too guilty.
Ho-Oh knew it could just leave, but its heart would not let it.
"That is better, Ho-Oh. Today, let me add a great part to your life story!"
Damian smiled. He looked very sure of himself.
"In the future, you can tell Lugia and Mew about this. You will be the bird that beat a Shiny Mega Rayquaza!"
"It better be like that."
Ho-Oh looked at Damian. Its wings moved slowly. Rainbow fire began to burn around its body.
Beating this Shiny Mega Rayquaza? If they really did it, it would be a very important moment in its long life.
But they had to win today first!
"Everyone, listen to my commands."
Damian used telepathy to talk to Shadow Mewtwo, Deoxys, Ho-Oh, and Primal Kyogre at the same time.
This was the team to beat the Boss: Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
"Kyogre, you can come back for now." Damian's plan was very clear.
"This Rayquaza is very proud. It did not even try to chase you. That makes sense. It thinks we are weak. But that is actually perfect."
The corners of Damian's mouth went up into a smile.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza was very strong. It was clear from the fight with Primal Kyogre that it had much more power.
It was stronger than Primal Kyogre in their small fight.
A moment ago, it had many chances to chase and hurt Primal Kyogre.
But it did not do it. Maybe it was because Rayquaza are proud, or it was sure it would win. Or maybe it thought Kyogre and the others were not a threat.
Either way, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza was not trying its hardest. This was good news for Damian.
Rayquaza's: So, Ho-Oh is also here to help the others?
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza looked at Ho-Oh. It had lived a long time, so it knew who Ho-Oh was. They were not friends.
Another enemy had arrived, but the Shiny Mega Rayquaza did not care.
It did not matter who the enemy was. As long as it was not the special one from the Hall of Origin, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza was sure it would win.

Because the Rayquaza family was the strongest Dragon type. No one was better!

"Mewtwo, Deoxys, use Protect."
"Kyogre, use Calm Mind."
Damian gave orders quickly.
Primal Kyogre was the main attacker of this team.
Shadow Mewtwo and Deoxys in Attack Forme were famous for being strong attackers.
However, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza was much stronger than them. If they fought Rayquaza directly...
Damian felt it would be a disaster, like Necrozma beating Lunala.
Even if their Special Attack was very high, they could not fight alone. They were mostly there to help or distract the enemy.
But Primal Kyogre was different. If its Special Attack became high enough, it could win against the Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
Ho-Oh was there to take the hits.
Ho-Oh was a legendary Pokémon that was good at defense. It was not very strong at attacking, but it was a great "tank." If it stayed in front and took damage, Primal Kyogre could hit the Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
But even this might not be enough. Damian already had a plan.
The others followed Damian's orders.
Shadow Mewtwo and Deoxys flew up. Green Protect shields appeared.
High in the sky, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's Draco Meteor exploded. Many pieces of dragon energy with fire fell down.
It looked beautiful like a meteor shower, but it was dangerous.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The meteors hit the Protect shields. The explosions were very loud.
Many meteors also hit the city. The ground made a loud sound because it was being broken.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza chose to only hit this area. If not, the whole city would be destroyed.
Steven, Cynthia, and the others were far away, so they were safe.
But they felt sad seeing the destruction.
This was the power of legendary Pokémon.
"Nebby!"
Damian was near the fight, but he was safe.
"Maxi~"
Lunala came out of its Poké Ball. A Protect shield blocked a meteor that was falling toward Damian.
"I will have to trouble you to protect me, Nebby," Damian said to Lunala.
Lunala floated above Damian and nodded. It would protect him.
Primal Kyogre used Calm Mind to make its stats higher. Ho-Oh was setting up Light Screen.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza began to fly toward them. Its long body moved through the air while the meteors fell.
"Psycho Boost!" Damian ordered right away.
Deoxys put its arms together. A colorful ball of energy shot at the Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
It was the Psychic-type move: Psycho Boost. This was Deoxys's special move.
The attack was fast, but the Shiny Mega Rayquaza moved its body and missed it easily.
The black dragon flew around the four legendary Pokémon. It looked like it was choosing which one to hunt.
Deoxys did not stop. It fired many Psycho Boost attacks.
But the Shiny Mega Rayquaza dodged all of them while flying.
the attacks exploded behind it. There was a lot of wind and energy. Rayquaza moved like it was taking a walk in a park. There was light following its body.
It looked very impressive.
"That movement..." Damian looked closely.
The way the Shiny Mega Rayquaza dodged was too good.
None of the Psycho Boosts hit it. The Shiny Mega Rayquaza was just moving normally. It was not even using a move to dodge.
That was the most surprising part.
After dodging, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza looked at Deoxys. It started to go faster.
"Roar—!"
A green light started to glow on the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's body. It looked like a fast, glowing arrow. It got even faster!
It used the Flying-type move: Dragon Ascent!
"Ho-Oh!"
"Creee—!"
Ho-Oh had finished using Light Screen. It moved its wings and blocked the way in front of Deoxys.
Ho-Oh was joining the fight!
Ho-Oh used a lot of rainbow fire called Sacred Fire.
However, the green light was faster. In a second, a green flash went through the sky.
Dragon Ascent went through the Sacred Fire. It hit Ho-Oh. Then it hit Deoxys's right shoulder before Deoxys could move.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza was now behind Deoxys.
BOOM!
The green light went away, and there was a big explosion.
How is this possible?
Ho-Oh felt a lot of pain. It did not have time to turn around. It started to fall. It looked at its Sacred Fire. The fire had been cut in half.
It could not stop Rayquaza for even a second. It was shocked by its strength.
"Ho-Oh, hold on! Get close to it!"
Ho-Oh was very tough. It was almost defeated in one hit, but it ignored the pain. It stayed in the air and flew toward the Shiny Mega Rayquaza.
"ROAR!!"
Rayquaza roared. It lifted its big tail. It used a strong wind to hit Deoxys hard.
It used Breaking Swipe!
"Psychic!"
Shadow Mewtwo used its power on the Shiny Mega Rayquaza. A lot of psychic energy came out. It was a move to control the enemy.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza stopped for a very short moment.
Deoxys used this chance to fly away fast. Its shoulder and arm were gone because of the Dragon Ascent. It needed to use Recover.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza escaped from the Psychic move immediately. It looked at Shadow Mewtwo. It thought that the dark power made Mewtwo stronger, but it was still not a big problem.
"Creee!!"
There was a loud cry. The Shiny Mega Rayquaza looked and saw Ho-Oh coming with its wings open.
Foolish.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza's eyes were cold. It shot a light of dragon energy. It was Dragon Pulse!
BOOM!
The Dragon Pulse hit Ho-Oh and exploded. But Ho-Oh came out of the smoke. It was glowing from Light Screen. It moved fast and hit Rayquaza's neck.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza moved a bit but stayed steady. It looked at Ho-Oh. It realized Ho-Oh used Light Screen.
If Ho-Oh did not have high defense, the Dragon Pulse would have beaten it.
The Psychic-type move Light Screen made special attacks do much less damage. Because of this, Ho-Oh survived the Dragon Pulse.
"ROAR!"
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza roared at Ho-Oh. It used its sharp claws to attack the bird.
"Will-O-Wisp!" Damian ordered fast.
Ho-Oh cried out. Blue fire spheres appeared and went into the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's body.
At the same time, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's claws hit Ho-Oh's chest. Ho-Oh felt pain and was sent flying away.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza used its tail to hit the falling Ho-Oh.
"Psychic!"
Shadow Mewtwo used Psychic again. It only stopped the Shiny Mega Rayquaza for a moment, but the dragon moved through it.
CRASH!
Breaking Swipe hit Ho-Oh very hard. Ho-Oh fell like a rock. It crashed through a building and hit the ground hard.
"Beautiful!"
Damian was smiling. He was happy because Will-O-Wisp had hit the target.
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza stayed in the air. It looked like it was hurting. Then...
Hot fire appeared all over its body. It made a sound of pain and anger.
Will-O-Wisp had burned the Shiny Mega Rayquaza!
This was important. Because of the Burn status, the Shiny Mega Rayquaza's physical attack power was now half as strong. It was much weaker now!
The Shiny Mega Rayquaza looked angry. It felt the change in its body.
That bird tricked me!
"Great job, Ho-Oh!"
Damian was happy with Ho-Oh. Even though Ho-Oh was hurt, it was worth it.
There was a hole in the ground where Ho-Oh fell. Ho-Oh was in the hole, and it looked like it was in a lot of pain.
Rainbow fire burned on its body to heal its wounds.
It hurts so much!
Ho-Oh wondered why this was happening. It did not want to be in Hoenn getting hurt like this.
It wanted to go back to Kanto.
